Good day fellow asean hivers! How are you these days? How everyone spends their weekends? I hope everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable moment with their families. It's me again toniagurl27 dropping to your feeds sharing fun school activity of my daughter last Friday.
Last month the PTA Officers, principal and teachers had a meeting and agreed that the school will be having a fundraising activity entitled Prince and Princess of Hearts. I'm one of the PTA Officer; I am elected as Secretary for the school year 2024-2025. The principal asked a general meeting for parents if the parents will support of the said activity. Luckily, majority of the parents agreed of the event. The students who will join will pay two hundred pesos for registration. The money proceeds to PTA fund for a certain project. It was titled Prince and Princess of Hearts in a relation of the month February where everyone celebrates the affection of love both romantic and love with family.
There were 72 pupils joined the activity. The deadline of payment was February 21 and at the same time the draw or bunot-bunot method. The luckiest pupil got the Princess is from kindergarten and the prince was from grade two. The first runners-up were from grade three and kindergarten, the second runners-up was from grade 5 and grade four, the third runners-up was from grade one and grade two and fourth runners-up was from grade four and grade six. The other pupils got the princess and prince of different virtues, like my daughter got the princess of harmony which refers to a peace, balance and unity.
As a mother or parent, I love supporting my daughter to participate any activity in the school for she can boost her self-confidence and go along with other pupil to develop social interactions. By supporting their involvement in school activities, it can boost child's interest in school, develop self-esteem, introduce new hobbies in short well-rounded development.
It was a fabulous day filled with love, charm and beauty. The pupils wear beautiful gowns and dresses. Some parents rent a gown and others wear Sunday dresses. I rent a gown for only two hundred pesos; it was cheap because she is our neighbor she gave me big discount. The school did not require gowns they can wear Sunday dress as much as it is presentable.
The event was held at our Barangay Covered Court in case there will be rain. The program starts at 2 o clock in the afternoon, during the program there was a royal march and royal dance. There were also intermission number by grade level such as dance number and song intermission. From grade six there was a pupil sang a cappella titled BUKO. School activity is a great help to students to develop and fight stage fright.
That was great day and successful activity, we were grateful that day because the weather is bit cloudy but no rain. The teaching staff were very thankful and appreciate the parents of the candidates. That was indeed a fabulous day for children, they had fun and opportunity to enjoy.
Thank you for reading my post and I hope you like it. See you in my next blog. Keep safe everyone and God Blessed.
Your daughter looks lovely in that dress. This looks like a great activity that the kids will definitely remember.
Thank you for the compliment, yes definitely they will remember those wonderful moments.
I think most of the schools now are doing this to raise funds, because my daughter school did that too. I like thier gowns and the girls looks pretty.
I agree fundraising events are common to public schools, creative way of school to raise money on the other hand the children will be having fun and get along with other students. Did your daughter join the activity?
Nopes! because she join the united nations, I told her to make a break from joining like this because we would really spend money.
