STONE PAINTING ART

COLORFULL STONE

Im showing you a cute, colourful stone. I found this creative vendor colouring stone in a unique way when me and @gideongys were visiting the rainforest festival Sabah at the local museum in town.

The artist creates a variety of colourful works on stone. She also tells us that she teaches this art to everyone, especially to kids who are interested in art. I agree with her that the love of making art should be taught to kids. It is sad but true that there are only a few artists in my country, which is very different from other ASEAN countries like Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, and others.

I guess we can't blame them because there was no awareness among the local people, making it very hard to make money just from making art in our place compared to other countries.

Just look at this artwork. I guess it takes dedication to just paint one stone and turn those ugly stones into beautiful artwork.

Beside those stones, the artist also sells another type of artwork, like paintings on other mediums like paper and glasses.
