Day 3 in Romblon: Wind, Wonders, and a Sunset Retreat

Our third day in the beautiful island province of Romblon, Romblon began with an exciting trip to one of the island’s most significant eco-projects — ROMELCO Wind Turbine 1. Nestled atop the lush hills of Barangay Agnay, the towering turbine greeted us with cool mountain breezes and panoramic views of the surrounding islands and coastline. The wind turbine is part of the Romblon Wind Farm, a trailblazing project that supplies clean, renewable energy to the island, reducing its dependence on diesel fuel.

Standing beneath Wind Turbine 1, we could hear the gentle whoosh of the blades — a peaceful reminder of the community’s progress towards sustainable living. The experience was not only educational but also inspiring, as ROMELCO’s efforts show how even a small island can lead in renewable energy initiatives. The site is also a perfect spot for photos, with breathtaking landscapes in every direction.

After the visit, we made our way back to our cozy accommodation at Talipasak Beach Resort. Tucked along the quiet shoreline, the resort offered the perfect setting to wind down the day. We spent the afternoon relaxing by the beach, taking in the fresh sea breeze and the rhythmic sound of the waves.

As the sun began to set, the sky transformed into a canvas of orange, pink, and purple hues. Sitting by the shore, we watched the sun slowly sink below the horizon, creating a picture-perfect moment to end our day.

Day 3 was a perfect balance of adventure, learning, and relaxation — a true highlight of our Romblon getaway.
