Simple Living by the Sea: Cooking with Firewood and Grateful Hearts πŸ˜ŠπŸ™β€

Hello everyone!

Hope all are safe and well! πŸ˜Šβ€πŸ™

Today, I want to share another simple experience in our daily life that truly reminds me how blessed we are, even in the middle of challenges. πŸ˜ŠπŸ™

There are times when we run out of gas, and with the continuous increase in prices, it really becomes a burden to our finances. Buying gas is not as easy as before, especially when you have many other things to prioritize. But in moments like this, I am so thankful that we still have another way to cook. 😊❀

Firewood becomes a big help for us. ❀

I am grateful that my mother has been collecting firewood over time in our seaside rest house. Because of that, we can still cook even without gas or electricity. And here in our place, brownouts happen most of the time, so having an alternative like this is truly a blessing.β€πŸ™

What makes it even more special is that our rest house is now back and usable again after it was damaged by the typhoon before. Seeing it restored brings joy to my heart. It is not just a place because it is where my parents can rest, relax, and sleep while enjoying the cool and refreshing sea breeze. 😊❀

The other day, we experienced a whole-day brownout. Instead of staying at home and feeling uncomfortable, we decided to go to the rest house. It felt like the best place to be at that time.😊❀

While we were there, we also harvested some sweet potatoes. It may be a simple activity, but it made me happy. There is something fulfilling about gathering your own food from the ground.😊❀

After harvesting, we cooked them using firewood. Watching the fire burn and cooking the food slowly gave a different kind of feeling that is very simple, but very meaningful. 😊❀

When the food was ready, we all sat down and enjoyed it together. The taste felt even better, maybe because we prepared it ourselves and shared it with family.😊❀

We also enjoyed the beautiful view and the cool sea breeze. Even though the weather is hot these days, the place still feels refreshing. It’s peaceful, quiet, and full of simple joy. 😊❀

What touched my heart the most is the realization that everything we had that day was free. The firewood, the sweet potatoes, the place, and even the fresh air. We didn’t have to spend anything, yet we felt complete. πŸ˜Šβ€πŸ™

It made me realize that sometimes, the best things in life are not the expensive ones. They are the simple moments like cooking together, eating together, and enjoying nature. 😊❀

Life may not always be easy, especially with rising costs and everyday struggles. But if we learn to appreciate what we already have, we will see that we are still blessed in so many ways.πŸ˜Šβ€πŸ™

Today, I am once again reminded to be grateful not just for the big things, but especially for the simple ones.

Have a Blessed Monday everyone! πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

Thank You Lord for the blessings and love!

Be grateful in every little/simple things and you’ll find happiness you ever wanted! πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

Everyday is worth to be grateful of!

Praying for the safety and wellness of all.

Heal Our Land Oh God!
