Hello everyone!
Hope all are safe and well!
After the meaningful tradition of feeding chickens and pigs, my sister and her husband open the gifts they received. Another beautiful Filipino wedding tradition full of love and practical blessings. ❤️
One by one, they opened gifts from godparents and guests. Each one reflecting thoughtfulness, tradition, and a hopeful start to married life. ❤️🎁
Let me share to you some of the gifts they received. ☺️❤️
There's a rice cooker to nourish shared meals. ☺️
There's an electric fan to cool warm days and nights.
There's a glassware, bowls, and a pitcher symbolize shared meals, love, hospitality and many joyful gatherings to come. Everyday reminders that marriage is about nurturing one another, one meal at a time. ☺️
There's a chamber pot because sometimes practicality is the best gift! ☺️😁
Most importantly, there's a Rosary. It is a spiritual gift that will guide them through prayerful reflection and unity. It’s a spiritual anchor for married life. ❤️🙏
In every unwrapped gifts, I saw their joy grow. Each item is a thoughtful anchor for their new life together. ❤️
After unwrapping gifts, the highlight was counting the money from their traditional money dance. Guests had pinned cash bills onto their clothes as they danced. It is a lovely gesture meant to bless the couple and help cover wedding costs or to start their married life. Watching them tally the bills, I felt the generosity of everyone who celebrated their start together. They got more than twenty thousand pesos. ☺️
My sister and her husband now have not just items, but blessings they can use, share, and build into their life. I feel honored to be right there with them during that special time, to have been so close, to cheer them on, and to capture their smiles. ☺️
To the newly wed, Congratulations on beginning this beautiful chapter as husband and wife. May your life together overflow with love, gratitude, and cherished traditions. ☺️❤️🙏
Have a Blessed Sunday everyone! 😀😀😀💖💖💖
Thank You Lord for the blessings and love!
Be grateful in every little/simple things and you’ll find happiness you ever wanted! 😀😀😀
Everyday is worth to be grateful of!
Praying for the safety and wellness of all.

I've never been married but I think that opening the gifts would probably be my favorite part of the entire process.
Maybe soon you'll experience that. ☺️
Thank you for dropping by. ❤️
