Hive in My Daily Life: A Story of Gratitude ☺️❤️🙏

(edited)

Hello everyone!

Hope all are safe and well! ☺️❤️🙏

I am truly grateful to Hive and to all hivers who keep on supporting me in my Hive journey. Because of Hive and all your support, my earnings really help me a lot. It helps me buy food and the things I need. ❤️

Just like tonight, I was able to buy food from the earnings I withdrew today. I cashed out ₱500 and left the remaining balance in my Seabank. Then I went to the market.

I first went to the grocery store and only bought the things I needed. I immediately went straight to the corner where the products I wanted were located such as coffee, milk, crispy fry, Pond’s cream, and cotton. Since I only had a limited budget, I got only the small packs. The total amount I spent was ₱118.40.

Since the total was more than ₱100, I used my Seabank to pay through QRPh so I could earn ₱2 cashback. ☺️ That’s the beauty of using Seabank QRPh, you earn small cashbacks with every payment.

After buying at the grocery store, I also bought something for viand. The market was crowded with people doing their shopping. I took a few snapshots but I had to be vigilant with my phone, just to be extra careful. After taking pictures, I kept my phone safe inside my bag and started choosing what to buy.

I bought bananas worth ₱110, chopsuey vegetables for ₱20, tuna fish worth ₱100, and galunggong with tulingan worth ₱50 for a total of ₱280 spent at the market.

So my total purchases were ₱118.40 at the grocery + ₱280.00 at the market = ₱398.40. I still had some money left for the coming days. ☺️

When I got home, I immediately prepared our dinner. First, I washed the bananas and the chopsuey vegetables.

Then, I sauteed the chopsuey vegetables. I didn’t realize we no longer had some spices in stock, so I wasn’t able to include them in my market list. Anyway, I cooked with whatever was available. I peeled and chopped onion and garlic, sauteed them, then added the chopsuey vegetables with oyster sauce, soy sauce, and ground pepper. That was enough to make a simple but tasty dish.

Next, I washed the tuna. At first, I wanted to fry it, but since the part I got was from the lower body with big bones, I decided to make tuna soup instead. Even with limited ingredients, I managed to cook something delicious.

I boiled a little water with onion and garlic, then added the tuna with a bit of salt. When it was almost done, I squeezed in calamansi juice for extra flavor.

When it was done, I poured the soup into two bowls, one for me and one for my sister.

Here’s my share:

While the tuna was cooking, I also cleaned the galunggong and tulingan fish, cutting the tulingan into four pieces.

Then, I peeled and chopped onion and garlic. I laughed at myself because I had already used up the only small piece of ginger we had when I cooked the tuna soup! So I decided to reuse it. I took it out from the soup bowls and put it into the pan for the next dish. 🤭😁🤣

I cooked the galunggong and tulingan as Adobong Paksiw. I placed the fish in the pan, added onion, garlic, vinegar, soy sauce, oyster sauce, ground pepper, and the reused ginger. Then I mixed everything well and let it cook.

While the Adobong Paksiw was cooking, we already ate our dinner, the sauteed chopsuey vegetables and tuna soup, paired with rice and had bananas. I wasn’t able to take photos anymore because we were already so hungry. 🤭😁

The Adobong Paksiw will be our dish for tomorrow. ☺️😋

Yes, we also have Shopee here in my country. 😊
SeaBank is actually partnered with Shopee.
Now, it’s already called MariBank.
It looks like they’re connected in many countries.
