Faith Over Pain: Continuing the Journey Despite the Burn β€πŸ™

(edited)

Hello everyone!

Hope all are safe and well! πŸ˜Šβ€πŸ™

Even though I was recently injured by hot oil while cooking, I reminded myself that life must go on. The pain is still there, and my skin is still healing, but I didn’t want it to stop me from doing something meaningful with my family. πŸ™

Last Friday, I still joined the Station of the Cross with them. I just made a few adjustments like I wore long sleeves to cover my injured arm, and I placed a bandage on my lips to protect the burn from bacteria. It may not have been comfortable, but my heart was willing. πŸ’ͺ

We had our Station of the Cross in San Roque, where my elder sister is currently living. 😊

We decided to go there around 4 PM so that it wouldn’t be too hot. Thankfully, the place was just a walking distance from my sister’s house, which made it easier for all of us.

As we walked along the road, we could already see the Stations of the Cross and groups of people doing the same devotion. It felt comforting to see so many people gathered for one purpose to reflect, pray, and remember the journey of Jesus. β€πŸ™

When we arrived at the entrance, we lined up to register. My sister took care of registering all of us. It was free, and I noticed there were policemen and municipal staff on duty, ensuring that everything was organized and safe. ❀

There were many visitors, the group of families, friends, and even individuals doing their own quiet reflections. Before we started, I took some photos to capture the moment.

Then we began our Station of the Cross. Each step felt meaningful as we followed the journey of Jesus. My brother took the role of lighting candles in every station, while we took turns reading and praying. β€πŸ™

While walking from one station to another, I couldn’t help but reflect deeply. Despite the discomfort I was feeling physically, I realized that what I was going through was nothing compared to the suffering of Jesus. It gave me strength to continue and focus on the true meaning of the devotion.❀

After completing the Stations of the Cross, we took some group photos to remember the day. 😊❀

Even though I was physically hurting, my heart felt full. I am thankful that I was still able to join my family and be part of this meaningful experience.❀

Sometimes, challenges come unexpectedly, but we can still choose to move forward with faith. This experience reminded me that strength doesn’t always mean being pain-free. Sometimes, it means continuing despite the pain. β€πŸ™

Have a Blessed Sunday everyone! πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–
