Hello everyone!
Hope all are safe and well! ☺️❤️🙏
One of the things I truly appreciate about being home in Leyte is the simple life near the sea. There’s something special about waking up each morning knowing that God’s blessings are literally just a few steps away. Living near the sea has its own kind of magic like the calm breeze, the sound of the waves, and of course, the blessing of having free viands whenever the sea is generous.
Just like the other day, my father and mother went out early in the morning to the shoreline to catch fish. What I love about them is that they don’t even need a boat to get a good catch. They just bring the fish net, walk toward the shallow part of the sea, and before we know it, they come home carrying pail filled with fresh seafood. It’s a big blessing and a huge help for our daily meals.
They were able to catch milkfish, squid, danggit, and other small fishes. Honestly, if you buy these at the market, they are quite expensive. Milkfish alone already costs a lot, and squid is not cheap at all. That’s why every time they come home with this kind of catch, my heart is full of gratitude. It’s God’s way of reminding us that He provides for our needs, sometimes in the simplest and most unexpected ways. ❤️🙏
Here are some pictures of the fresh catch they brought home:

After cleaning everything, we already had enough viand for our meals. It feels so good knowing that the food we are about to eat didn’t cost anything. It’s purely a blessing from nature and a fruit of my parents’ effort. Sometimes life really shows us that happiness doesn’t come from expensive things but from the simple moments and provisions that God gives. ❤️🙏
We have grilled milkfish, Adobong squid, ginisang danggit and fried fish. Here are photos of how abundant our viand was:

Seeing these photos reminds me how fortunate we are. Not everyone gets to experience life like this — peaceful, simple, and blessed by nature. My heart is full whenever I see my parents working together and coming home with smiles on their faces because they know they’ve provided something for the whole family. ❤️
I pray that God will continue to bless the sea and keep it abundant, and that my parents will always come home safely whenever they go fishing. I also pray that our family will always have enough — not too much, just enough to eat, live, and stay grateful. 🙏
Have a Blessed Thursday everyone! 😀😀😀💖💖💖
Thank You Lord for the blessings and love!
