Back to Basics: Cleaning the Floor the Old-Fashioned Way 😊❀

Hello everyone!

Hope all are safe and well! πŸ˜Šβ€πŸ™

Today, I just want to share a simple yet meaningful experience I had. It is something very ordinary, but at the same time, something that reminded me of the beauty of doing things the old way. 😊

I decided to clean our floor without using any floor wax or chemical products. Instead, I went back to the traditional method that many of us grew up seeing or hearing about. So, I went to our backyard and picked some fresh papaya leaves. It felt refreshing, honestly by doing something natural, something practical, and something that doesn’t require any expense. 😊❀

After gathering enough papaya leaves, I started the process. First, I pounded the leaves using a hammer to soften them and release their natural sap. This step is important because it helps bring out the natural properties of the leaves that can help clean and give a slight shine to the floor. 😊

Once the leaves were ready, I began cleaning the floor. I used my feet to rub the papaya leaves directly onto the surface. Yes, using my feet! At first, it felt a bit funny, but as I continued, I realized how effective it actually is. There’s something satisfying about doing it this way because it feels more connected, more hands-on.

Of course, while rubbing the floor, my feet became messy. 🀭 But I didn’t mind at all. In fact, it made the experience more real and enjoyable. It reminded me that sometimes, getting a little dirty is part of doing something worthwhile. 😊

After rubbing every part of the floor, I swept away the used papaya leaves. Then came the final step by polishing the floor using coconut husk. This part also required effort, but I enjoyed it because it felt like I was hitting two birds with one stone: cleaning the floor while also getting a bit of exercise. 😊

By the time I finished, I felt tired but fulfilled. The floor looked clean, naturally polished, and I didn’t spend anything at all. More than that, I felt a sense of accomplishment knowing that I was able to do it using simple resources from our surroundings.😊❀

This experience made me reflect on how sometimes we rely too much on modern products, forgetting that there are traditional ways that are just as effective. It also reminded me that not everything has to be expensive to be valuable. With a little effort and creativity, we can achieve so much using what we already have.😊❀

Most importantly, it gave me another reason to be grateful. Grateful for our backyard, for the resources around me, for the strength to do the work, and for the simple joy that comes from accomplishing something on my own. πŸ˜Šβ€πŸ™

Have a Blessed Saturday everyone! πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

Thank You Lord for the blessings and love!

Be grateful in every little/simple things and you’ll find happiness you ever wanted! πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

Everyday is worth to be grateful of!

Praying for the safety and wellness of all.

Heal Our Land Oh God!

Yeah, I remember way back my elementary days, we used this method too at school. Our teacher told us to use papaya leaves in cleaning the floor. Actually, it is effective, floor gets shiny.
