Hello everyone!
Hope all are safe and well! βΊοΈβ€οΈπ
Lately, we have been experiencing really cold weather here. The air feels colder in the evening 'til morning, and the cold seems to stay even during the day. Sometimes, it makes you want to just stay under a blanket and rest. But despite the cold, life still goes on and so does the responsibility of putting food on the table. π
Even with the cold weather, my parents continue to go fishing. They endure the chilly wind, the cold seawater, and the early mornings, all so that our family will have food to eat. Watching them, I canβt help but feel emotional and grateful. Their strength and determination never fail to amaze me. Because of their effort, we were blessed with freshly caught fish that we grilled for our viand that day. Truly, it is a blessing from above. π

Before any food reaches our table, it is always my parents who make sure that something will be served. Now that my brother has already gone back to Cebu, it is my mother who goes with my father to the sea. Seeing them together reminds me of how deep their love and sacrifice are for our family. There is no comparison to the way parents give their all, even when it is difficult, just to make sure their children are okay. β€οΈπ
We are truly grateful that they were still able to catch fish, even if it wasnβt much. They werenβt able to sell any this time, but at least we have food that can last us for a few days. In moments like this, I realize that abundance doesnβt always mean having a lot, it means having enough. β€οΈπ
Maybe the fish also felt cold, thatβs why only a few were caught. π Still, we are thankful for whatever was given to us that day. π

When they arrived home, after taking a bath and change clothes, my father cleaned the fish himself. Some were placed in the freezer to be used as viand for the next day, while others were grilled right away for our meal. There is something very comforting about freshly grilled fish. It's simple, but full of flavor and love. Every bite feels more meaningful when you know the effort behind it. β€οΈπ

I felt genuinely happy and relieved knowing that my parents were able to bring something home from the sea. More than the food, I am always praying for their safety whenever they go out to fish. The sea can be unpredictable, especially during cold weather, and I always ask God to protect them and keep them healthy. β€οΈπ
Living here teaches me to appreciate simple things like fresh fish, shared meals, and the quiet sacrifices of our parents. These are the moments that truly matter. Even on cold days, our hearts remain warm because of love, faith, and gratitude. β€οΈβ€οΈππ
