A Sweet Catch Up Turned into a Life Changing Decision ☺️💚

Being a financial advisor has brought me so many meaningful moments not just with clients, but also with the people closest to my heart. One of those special moments happened when I met up with my cousin.

Last October 2023, I had a special kind of date, not with a partner, but with someone who’s been close to my heart, my cousin. ☺️❤️

My cousin and I decided to meet at Erolyn’s Milktea House, a newly opened cafe in our town. It wasn’t just a random meet-up, it was a beautiful moment to catch up, share stories, and strengthen our bond.

We ordered our favorite drinks, settled into a cozy corner. Over milk tea and laughter, we started talking about life, our wins, challenges, and dreams. I expected that our conversation would eventually shift into something deeper, her desire to secure her family's future.

We also talked about her life as a mom to two beautiful kids, her responsibilities, and how she balances everything for her family. She is younger than me and she already has her own family now, and it made me admire her even more.

She started asking me questions about life insurance, not just out of curiosity, but because she trusted me as her Financial Advisor. That moment touched me more than words can say. There’s something humbling about being believed in, especially by family.

We did a Financial Needs Analysis right there in the cafe. Over iced drinks and cousin chika, we reviewed her priorities, goals, and of course, her budget. It was not just a business discussion, it was two women, rooted in love and respect, helping each other grow.

She made her decision on the spot, to secure her life and protect herself and family from life’s uncertainties. She chose the semi-annual premium option, and I couldn’t be prouder of her. This coming November, her policy will turn 2 years old. That’s two years of commitment. Two years of protection. Two years of love not just for herself, but for the people who depend on her most.

We celebrated this small but meaningful milestone by taking photos around the cafe. Every corner captured a memory, and every shot reminded me why I love what I do. This is not just about sales. It’s about the lives we touch and the trust we honor.

To my cousin: I thank you for believing in me and for taking this step. Your story will inspire others to do the same, to be brave enough to prepare, and wise enough to act now.
