A Simple DIY Victory: Bringing My Phone Back to Life Again 🙏😊❤

Today, I just want to share a simple but happy experience that made my week extra fulfilling. Sometimes, even the smallest things can bring so much joy and gratitude into our lives, and this is one of those moments for me. ☺️🙏

After quite a long time, my phone has finally become useful again! Honestly, I already thought that I would need to buy a brand new phone because the battery problem became really serious. While I was still in Manila, I noticed that the battery of my phone started to bloat badly. Even though it was already swollen, I still continued using it because the phone itself was still functioning properly. I just tried to be extra careful while using it. ☺️

But after returning home to Leyte and using it for a few more weeks, my phone completely stopped functioning. Since then, I just placed it aside and started relying more on my tablet. At first, I didn’t really think about replacing the battery anymore because I was already considering buying a new phone instead. However, as we all know, buying a new phone nowadays is expensive, and I still don’t have enough budget for that.

Aside from that, I honestly find it difficult carrying a tablet whenever I go outside. Unlike a phone, it’s not very handy and convenient. That’s why the other day, I suddenly decided to check online if I could still find a replacement battery for my phone model, which is Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite.

Thankfully, I was lucky enough to find the exact battery online for only 568 pesos. I immediately checked it out and patiently waited for it to arrive. In less than a week, my order was delivered, and I got really excited because I finally had hope that my phone could still work again.

When the battery arrived, I was already planning to bring my phone to a repair shop for installation. But then another thought came into my mind which is the service fee. Since I wanted to save money as much as possible, I decided to search on YouTube first to see if replacing the battery was something I could actually do by myself.

To my surprise, after watching several videos, the process looked simple and easy to follow. I gained confidence and thought, Why not try it myself? 🤭🤣

One good thing about the battery I purchased is that it already included the tools and glue needed for the replacement. That really helped a lot. ❤️

However, the only problem was that the screwdriver included in the package did not fit the screws of my phone. Good thing we already had a small screwdriver at home that perfectly matched the screws. Because of that, I was finally able to open the phone and start the battery replacement on my own while carefully following the YouTube tutorial. ☺️

Honestly, I felt both nervous and excited while doing it because it was my first time trying to repair a phone by myself. I was scared that I might damage it even more, but at the same time, I was enjoying the experience and learning something new. ☺️

And thankfully, it was successful! ☺️❤️

I felt so happy and proud of myself after seeing my phone turn on again with its new battery. Thanks to YouTube tutorials and a little courage, I was able to save money from paying a service fee. I never imagined that I could actually do a phone battery replacement by myself. Maybe next time I can already accept battery installation services too! 🤭🤣

Now, I am happily using my phone again, and in fact, I’m even using it right now while making this blog post. ☺️ It feels really nice to have a handy phone again that I can easily bring anywhere I go. ☺️❤️

This simple experience reminded me that sometimes we don’t always need to buy new things immediately. Sometimes, fixing what we already have can still give us happiness and satisfaction. It also reminded me that learning small skills through online resources like YouTube can really be helpful in everyday life. ❤️

Most importantly, I am thankful to God for continuously providing what I need and guiding me through simple victories like this. Life may not always be perfect, but there is always something to be grateful for every single day. ☺️❤️🙏
