Hello everyone!
Hope all are safe and well! ☺️❤️🙏
One of the best things about being back home is having more time with my parents. They are now in their senior years, and every moment with them feels more precious than ever. There is a different kind of happiness when you see your parents healthy, smiling, and still enjoying the simple events in life. Being with them reminds me that time truly flies, and what matters most is presence, not possessions. 🙏
The other day, my parents attended the senior citizens’ Christmas party in our barangay. It was held at the barangay covered court, a familiar place where many community gatherings happen. I decided to follow them, not because they asked me to, but because I wanted to see them enjoy the event and also capture some memories through photos. ☺️

When we arrived, there were only a few senior citizens present at that time. Maybe others were still on their way, or perhaps some couldn’t make it early. Seeing my parents there together, they are patiently waiting, made my heart full. It reminded me of how they have attended countless events for us when we were younger like school programs, graduations, and celebrations, they are always present, always supportive. ❤️
On the stage, I noticed several goods arranged. I assumed these were for the raffle prizes later. It brought back memories of barangay parties where everyone eagerly waits for their number to be called, hoping to win even something small. For seniors, these simple prizes already bring excitement and joy. ❤️
I didn’t stay long at the covered court. After taking a few photos and making sure my parents were settled and comfortable, I decided to head home. Sometimes, just being there for a short while is already enough. What mattered was that they were happy and enjoying themselves.

Later on, when my parents arrived home, my father excitedly shared that his ticket number was called during the raffle. He won a spaghetti set with a 100-peso bill attached to it. I honestly forgot to take a picture because I was too focused on listening to his story and seeing the joy on his face. It may seem small to others, but for him, it was a happy moment worth sharing. ❤️
Seeing my parents enjoy that simple Christmas party made me deeply grateful. These are the moments that truly matter such as watching them laugh, hearing their stories, and being able to witness their happiness while I still can. I thank God for giving me this chance to be home and to be present in their lives. ❤️🙏
Have a Blessed Thursday everyone! 😀😀😀💖💖💖
