A Colorful Walk : Tutug-an Hanging Bridge Adventure ❤️☺️

Hello everyone!

Hope all are safe and well! ☺️❤️🙏

Being back home in Leyte always gives me a different kind of joy. It’s the kind of happiness that comes from simple places, familiar roads, and unexpected stops that turn into meaningful memories. One of those moments happened when we visited a hanging bridge in our town of Barugo. It is something I’ve seen before but learned to appreciate more deeply this time. ❤️

In one of the barangays in our town, there is a hanging bridge that connects two communities. It is called Tutug-an Hanging Bridge, located in Barugo, Leyte, Philippines. This bridge connects Barangay Calingcaguing and Barangay Tutog-an, and it has become known for its colorful wooden planks and beautiful natural surroundings. At first glance, it may look simple, but once you step closer, you’ll feel a mix of excitement, curiosity, and even a bit of nervousness especially if it’s your first time crossing. ☺️

What I admire most about this hanging bridge is its strength. Despite the many calamities that our province has experienced the strong rains, floods, and storms, the bridge remains standing and continues to serve the people. It’s comforting to know that something so modest can be so resilient. It makes me proud that my hometown has this kind of structure that is not only functional but has also become a local attraction. ❤️

One day, with my younger brother and my nephew were on the way to my sister’s place. Unexpectedly, we decided to stop by the hanging bridge. Honestly, it wasn’t even on our route. We weren’t planning to cross it because it’s not really the way going to my sister’s house. But sometimes, the unplanned stops are the ones that make a day more memorable. ☺️

My nephew was immediately excited when he saw the bridge. The bright, colorful planks caught his attention, and the surroundings made everything look lively and fun. At the same time, I could sense his fear. He was worried he might slip or fall between the wooden planks. As an aunt, I held his hand tightly, reassuring him that he was safe. Step by step, we walked together. We didn’t go all the way across, we just went far enough to take photos and enjoy the moment. ☺️

I can still remember the gentle movement of the bridge, the sound of the wood beneath our feet, and the fresh air around us. My nephew’s expressions both excited and cautious made the experience even more special. It reminded me how small adventures can create lasting memories, especially when shared with family. ❤️

We didn’t stay long because the sky was starting to look gloomy, and it might rain anytime. After taking a few photos and enjoying the view, we headed to my sister’s place. Still, that short visit was more than enough to make the day brighter. ☺️

It was a simple, short sightseeing stop, but we truly enjoyed it. Moments like these remind me that you don’t need far travels or expensive trips to feel happiness. Sometimes, all it takes is a colorful bridge, a bit of courage, and the people you love beside you. ❤️

Have a Blessed Monday everyone! 😀😀😀💖💖💖

Thank You Lord for the blessings and love!

Be grateful in every little/simple things and you’ll find happiness you ever wanted! 😀😀😀

Everyday is worth to be grateful of!

Praying for the safety and wellness of all.
