Hello everyone!
Hope all are safe and well! πβ€π
Today, I would like to share a beautiful moment from our community's Flores de Mayo celebration. May is a special month for many Catholics in the Philippines because it is dedicated to honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary. One of the highlights of the celebration is the procession held at the end of the month, where different Reynas participate wearing elegant gowns and representing various titles. β€
This year, I was excited because my cousin's daughter was chosen as one of the Reynas in the procession. Seeing her all dressed up made me smile because she looked so beautiful and graceful in her white gown.
She truly looked like a little princess. π
Adding more charm to her appearance were her little angels who accompanied her during the event. Their matching outfits made the whole presentation even more adorable and memorable. Seeing the children dressed beautifully brought joy not only to their families but also to everyone watching the procession. πβ€

Before the procession started, preparations were already happening at home. Like many special occasions, getting ready took time and effort. She had her makeup done, her hair carefully styled, and of course, she wore her lovely gown. π
Watching the transformation was enjoyable because you could see how excited she was for the event. Every little girl deserves moments like these where they can feel special and confident. πβ€

Of course, my father did not miss the opportunity to take a photo with our beautiful Reyna. π
I could see how proud he was, just like the rest of the family. Moments like these become wonderful memories that we can look back on in the future. πβ€

Seeing the procession also brought back many childhood memories. When I was young, I always joined and followed the Flores de Mayo procession in our barangay. It was one of the activities I looked forward to every year. π
Those were simple but happy days. π
However, despite joining the procession many times when I was a child, I never became a Reyna. π
Looking back now, I find it funny and amusing. While other girls got the chance to wear beautiful gowns and crowns, I was simply one of those happily walking along the procession route. But honestly, I have no regrets. I still enjoyed every Flores de Mayo celebration because it allowed me to participate in a meaningful tradition and create wonderful childhood memories. πβ€
Today, seeing the younger generation continue this tradition makes me happy. It reminds me that some beautiful customs are still being passed down and appreciated by children and families. πβ€
Flores de Mayo is more than just beautiful gowns and processions. It is also a celebration of faith, community, and devotion. It brings people together and allows families to create lasting memories. β€βΊοΈ
As I watched my cousin's daughter proudly wearing her gown, I couldn't help but feel grateful for these simple moments. Life moves so fast, and children grow up quickly. That's why it is important to cherish occasions like this while we can. πβ€
Have a Blessed Wednesday everyone! ππππππ
