A SUNDAY TO REMEMBER: HORSE RACES, FIESTAS, AND HEARTWARMING MOMENTS

HELLOOO, EVERYONE!!!😊😊😊

Welcome back to another blog! I know it's been weeks since I posted my last one. Life has been a whirlwind of responsibilities lately, especially with school and other commitments that have been keeping me on my toes. But I’m so glad to finally take a moment to reconnect with all of you.

Today, I’m here to share some of my experiences from these past few weeks. They’ve been filled with highs and lows, moments of growth, and a lot of lessons learned. I hope you’ll stick around till the end and enjoy this journey with me because every story I share here holds a special place in my heart.

Before we dive into everything, I’d like to start with an uplifting thought for everyone. Here’s a Bible verse I’d like to share with you: Matthew 13:33“The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough.” It’s a beautiful reminder that even small acts of faith and kindness can create a ripple effect and make a big difference in our lives and the lives of others.

I hope this verse will inspire you as much as it inspires me. Let’s keep spreading goodness and positivity in whatever we do. May we all feel blessed and grateful for everything we have, no matter how small it may seem.

Now, without further ado, let’s get into it!

Let me share this unforgettable day with you. It happened just last week, on a Sunday. At that time, there was going to be a horse race near our house. Of course, I was beyond excited because it would be my first time seeing a horse race! Although I’ve seen horses before, I’ve never seen so many in one place, so my excitement was only natural.

The race was announced to start at 8 a.m., but I felt a bit sad because I had to go to church at that same time. Our church service begins at 8 a.m. and usually ends around noon. Despite that, I decided to make the best of the situation.

When Sunday morning came, I got myself ready for church. On my way, I passed by the horse riding grounds, and I was completely stunned by what I saw! There were so many horses, along with cowboys and cowgirls everywhere. It felt like a scene straight out of a movie. My excitement doubled when I spotted a cowboy who definitely caught my eye—HAHAHA! I knew I wouldn’t get to watch the race or see them again, but I wasn’t too upset because I’d already caught a glimpse of the venue and the lively atmosphere.

After a quick look, I continued my way to church. Just as I was about to leave, one of my churchmates saw me and kindly offered me a ride on his motorcycle. That made things so much easier for me!

When we arrived at the church, it was still quite early, and most people hadn’t arrived yet. So, I took the opportunity to prepare the laptop, projector, and other equipment we’d need for the service. It was a peaceful moment to settle in before everyone else arrived, and I couldn’t help but smile as I thought about the exciting start to my day.

Around 9 a.m., we started our church service. We sang, praised, and worshipped God through beautiful songs. I was part of the second voice, so I had to hurry and take my place haha.

I remembered that my mom had told me earlier to go directly to one of her friend’s houses after church because we were invited to their child’s christening. However, as soon as the service ended, I started feeling unwell. My feet were aching, and I had a headache, probably because I hadn’t eaten anything that morning. So, I decided to text my mom and ask her to come and get me. Thankfully, she arrived quickly, and we headed to her friend’s house together.

When we arrived, I immediately noticed that their house was located right beside the road. It felt a bit dangerous because there were so many vehicles passing by, especially since it was the Tambongon, San Remigio Cebu Fiesta. The streets were crowded with people, way more than I usually see in the area. It was a little overwhelming, but at the same time, I thought it was cool. The festive atmosphere was something I really enjoyed!

When it was time to eat, we joined the other guests for lunch. I couldn’t help but admire the theme of the event, it was pink! And you know pink is one of my favorite, so it instantly lifted my mood. The decorations were stunning, with balloons, tablecloths, and nice arrangements that made everything feel kind of cozy and cheerful. It wasn’t just the decorations, it was the thoughtfulness behind the details that made it all so special. It felt like the event was wrapped in warmth and joy.

The food was equally delightful, with a variety of dishes that showcased the delicious flavors of a traditional provincial fiesta. From the roasted lechon to the flavorful desserts, every bite felt like a celebration in itself. I even found myself going back for seconds (and maybe thirds haha!).

As we were eating, some guests began singing karaoke, and it was such a treat to watch. The way they laughed and cheered for one another made the atmosphere so lively and infectious. It wasn’t about who sang the best, it was about the joy of being together, sharing moments of laughter and connection.

There’s something magical about the vibe in the province during fiestas. It’s not just about the music or the food, it’s the sense of community, the way everyone comes together to celebrate life, big or small. It’s so genuine and pure that it leaves you feeling refreshed and grateful.

I couldn’t stop thinking about how amazing it was to see people so active and engaged with one another. In a world that sometimes feels too fast-paced and disconnected, moments like these remind me of the beauty of simplicity and togetherness. I truly wish people could carry this joy and connection with them every day.

Before I wrap things up, let me share the highlight of my week, the most incredible series I’ve watched recently. This series is absolutely amazing, I swear! It has the power to make you tear up, laugh, and maybe make you feel every possible emotion you can think of. It’s titled ARCANE: LEAGUE OF LEGENDS.

The story, the characters, the visuals, everything about this series is breathtaking. It’s one of those shows that stays with you long after you’ve finished watching. The best part? There’s a second season! So, if this sounds like something you’d enjoy, go ahead and give it a watch. Trust me, you won’t regret it!
