ASEAN Hive Community Challenge #170 🫰 - From Saudi Riyal To Dollar To Peso One Day, One Dollar 💵

Being an #ofw working Saudi Arabia as an household worker, I am one of those who earn the smallest range of salary compared to skilled and professional worker or degree holder. Being a maid has only a small amount of the salary but I am grateful earning better compared to the daily rate in Philippines salary. But not all the time having a job in foreign land gives good opportunity. Most of the problem arises since the Saudi government imposed evat 15% tax payment. All commodities are flying higher in 10 years.

The value of 1 US dollar is 3.75ISR. And then, 1SR is 15.15 Pesos. When I have 3.75SR or 1USD here, I could eat better breakfast with the lowest cost budget. It could be good for two person but in the Philippines, most especially In the city, one dollar is not enough. If you live in a rural area, 1 dollar would be save for another expenses because people could eat from the farm or garden. It will happened if people are planting vegetables.

In my native place where I was born, they were no lo get planting in the farm. The last person I saw from my family was my mother and father but now they were already in heaven.

My son has two daughters, his income is not enough for his kids. I need to help them including for their school. One dollar now in the Philippines peso is 56 or 57 but 1 kilo of rice for a good variety is 60. The cheapest with bad smell is 25pesos per kilo. Fishes in the market is 3dollars per kilo. Its hard to budget a small amoount of money.

One of the reason why the Filipinos have a lot of financial instability and poor people become the poorest because of the corruption of the country politicians. The rich became billionaires and manipulate some places. So shame for my fellow Filipinos who are corrupt and feel pity to the people like me. We worked and sacrificed in the foreign land and we contribute dollars to our country but some of us never enjoy the benefits with in. How many millions of dollar we #ofw contributed by our remittances tm o our economy. I'm 28 years working here in Saudi Arabia not only helping my family but also our country by the dollars we earned. That's only me alone. Accepted or not, our remittances are part of depending the peso to dollar. But some politicians are heading to corruption. Sorry for this to open here but everybidy knows how #ofw brought dollars to our country and it helps.

Thank you @asean.hive for this topic and I just forgot to post it yesterday. I don't know if I wrote what the contest about or I am out of topic but I am just so hot thinking about how we help earned dollar to help our country but the latest corruption hits my heart so badly.

Thank you @asean.hive!
