A fish eating fish

Good day everyone!

Yesterday, me and my sister went to the mall to buy groceries for this week 'til next week. The traffic was not that heavy during that day specifically that time, it felt weird (because in the Philippines specially in the city, heavy traffic is common) LOL.

You might ask why in the mall and not in the public market. Well, we find it more convenient for us. The mall is nearer from our place than the public market.

We usually buy toiletries, canned goods, fruit juice, fresh milk, 10kg rice, meat, and vegetables. When we were in the seafood section, I found this larger fish caught with a smaller fish still in its mouth. Certainly, it should have been its last meal. LOL.

And a question was formed in my head, how did it happen?

You may find it disgusting but I tried to pull the smaller fish out of the bigger fish but did not continue to really pull the whole body out.

Then a thought of a short story came out:
*"Once upon a time, a small fish was swimming joyfully through the water, the sun's warmth shimmering on the surface above him. Suddenly, a shadow loomed over him - a huge fish, its jaws wide open. Before he could react, he was caught in its mouth, his world now turning dark. Is it going to be the end of him?

He trashed, desperate to escape, but the powerful fish was dragging him deeper. He was sure it was over, that he'd be swallowed whole. But then, a sharp pull yanked them both upward.

The larger fish jerked violently. In a second, the water's surface broke, and they were lifted into the air. He thought he will be free, but then the larger fish did not let him go. As a result, both of them are in the market now, displayed so they can be devoured by a larger species."* Hahaha.

Meanwhile on our way home, a dark cloud was hovering near our place.

I thought it would rain 🌧️ that afternoon but it didn't.

That's all for this post. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Enjoy!
