Introduction to International Relations!

Hello everyone! Glad to be here with you all today. I just had my first day of the new semester for my major, which was the introduction to international relations. It was a really exciting experience as the teacher is from Bangladesh, and we were all eager to learn about this fascinating field.

The professor started off by going over the basic definition and form of international relations. They talked a lot about the role of states and how the interactions between countries are the core of this subject. The teacher then delved into the main causes that lead to international relations, explaining how the dynamics between different nations can shape global events.

What I found particularly impressive was how the teacher was able to draw examples from both the Western and non-Western world to explain the concepts. They seemed to have a very nuanced understanding of the subject matter, which made the lecture very engaging and easy to follow.

Throughout the class, I was busy jotting down notes in my notebook, trying to capture all the key points. The professor's explanations were so clear and well-structured that I felt confident I'd be able to review the material later on. It was definitely a productive and insightful first day, and I can't wait to dive deeper into the world of international relations in the weeks to come.

As a new student, I'm really excited to see what else this major has in store. The introduction class has already given me a great foundation to build upon, and I'm eager to explore the different aspects of this field, from the political and economic dimensions to the cultural and historical influences.

One thing that stood out to me was how the professor emphasized the importance of critical thinking and analysis when it comes to international relations. They encouraged us to challenge the conventional narratives and look at global issues from multiple perspectives. I think this kind of approach is crucial, especially in a world that's becoming increasingly interconnected and complex.
