Lila joined me clearing pineapple

The weather today is very hot. There was no rain like usual. Although it rained in some areas while we were on our way home, most of the places we passed had no rain. It didn’t rain at our house either. The ground looked very dry. Even though it was already 2:30 PM when we got home, the heat was still very strong. I’m grateful we arrived earlier today after several days of getting home late. I had planned in the morning to continue clearing the pineapple field in the evening. The weeds were growing tall and thick. After a short rest, I put on my work clothes and gloves because pineapple leaves are sharp and can tear through thin fabric.

I worked for about two hours, from 4 PM to 6 PM, and managed to clear two rows of pineapple plants. Today, I followed the same method as before and got the same results. I wasn’t too tired and still had energy to do other tasks. While I was working, Lila, our only female dog, came to check on me occasionally. But as it started to get dark, she came more often and stayed close to me, almost as if she wanted me to go inside before it got completely dark. This has happened several times before. Usually, all three of our adult dogs come to guide me back, but today, only Lila came. My wife also came to check on me and helped by taking some photos.

When I finished clearing the weeds from the two rows of pineapples and got rid of the weeds I pulled out, I headed back to the house around 6 PM, and Lila followed me. I was really touched by how my dogs try to guide me back when it gets dark.
