Saturday Night

It's 00:30 AM, Saturday night. I sit by the lake, fishing rod in hand. The rain has just stopped, leaving a fresh scent in the cold air. I can see mist rise from the water. It's quiet, still, perfect. I wait, patient and alert.

The cold weather is a friend tonight. Spending the night on this quiet lake feels tranquil. I watch over the dark water, hopeful. I wish I could catch a big fish soon.
