Happy Thursday Hivers!
Whenever the weather is bad, I don't really like traveling by ferry because the sea is usually rough. I've noticed that as I've gotten older, I've become much more fearful, especially after experiencing a ferry that almost sank years ago. That terrifying experience left me with lasting trauma, so I still get anxious whenever I have to travel by sea during bad weather.
What gives me peace of mind, though, is that the ferry we'll be taking is well known in our area for putting passenger safety above everything else. In all the years they've been operating, they've never had an incident where one of their ferries sank. That reputation for safety makes me feel much more at ease, even with my past experience.

When we arrived at the pier, we immediately noticed how rough the sea was. The weather was gloomy, and it looked like it was about to rain. As soon as we boarded the ferry, I could already feel the strong waves.
There were only a few passengers today, unlike on weekends when it's usually crowded. One advantage of traveling when there are fewer passengers is that you can freely choose a seat where you feel most comfortable.
My mom was also happy when one of the staff members told us that we were free to choose any available seats. Since she has knee problems, sitting in the same position for several hours causes her pain. Being able to choose a more comfortable seat made a big difference, and it made this trip much more enjoyable for her.

Despite the rough sea and gloomy weather, everything went smoothly. I was especially grateful that my mom was comfortable throughout the journey. Sometimes, it's the little things, like having the freedom to choose a good seat, that can make a trip much more pleasant. Thankfully, we arrived safely at our destination, and that was all that truly mattered.
Thank you for reading and see you on my next blog. Cheers!
