My Mother’s Orchid Collection

Happy Mondday Hivers!

Since I was a child, my mother has always loved orchids. Even when she was very busy before with her business and taking care of us, she still found time to care for her orchids.

I still remember how beautiful our yard used to be. It was full of different colors of orchids, especially when they bloomed at the same time. It looked so alive and colorful.

But there came a time when most of her orchids died. She didn’t notice that the water she was using had become too salty, and it slowly damaged the plants. After that, she felt discouraged and stopped planting orchids for a while. Even when people offered her free orchids, she no longer wanted to accept them. It seemed like she was really hurt by what happened.

But this year, I noticed something special. She slowly started planting again. For the past few months, she has been buying orchids and rebuilding her collection. I don’t really know the names of the orchids, but she knows them all very well.

Just a few weeks ago, she came home from going out and I was surprised and happy because she brought home orchids that already had flowers. When she arrived, she immediately placed them carefully so they would not die.

Maybe she has already healed from what happened before. Now, she is starting again, and I am happy to see her love for orchids coming back.
