Glass is one of the few things that only has periodic waves of recycling, but for the most part it's not collected. A lot of recyclers will usually not waste them though, and sometimes dump then on the side of the road somewhere to make a big stash pile, awaiting for the day when the recycling centers start buying glass again.

No recycling needed if you use them to store pickled stuff and in our case homemade chili sauce.
