As a Computer Science students we usually hide in our own cage and we just wanted peace and privacy yet today's activity challenge our mind and taught us to Step out of our Comfort Zone and here for the first time we delve into this journey. Today, Hackathon 2026 Orientation happens this is part for the upcoming "College of Sciences Days" and as students whose study fits in the theme for this year's Hackathon so our group are here to participate actually this is a contest.

Welcome "GreenTech20 ~ Hackathon26" this orientation was held in the Library of our University. The program starts 9am and ends 5pm. We we're able to learn what is hackathon, start-up and about pitching also, we have a former Bisu Faculty ~ Sir Rennan who is currently working in a Hospital in the tech department. We learn many things from him and even had our chance to seek advice for our website and as well as our thesis too.

After the eight modules that was discussed, around 3pm we we're tasked to present the "Summary for the Problem, Target Users, Solution" and our group was the first to present.

Actually, we are five members in a team, but since one of our member were sick she wasn't able to come and the other one from Environmental Science had his Convention in Baguio so guess what ~ JUST THE THREE OF US. And the guy here is our Team Leader.
After the orientation, we are super grateful because we were able to gather information and suggestions that would help our application viable and has a greater impact as well as unique feature that would hit our thesis soon in the second semester of this year, my leader itself says that it was a good decision that we have joined this hackathon. Our ideas were broadened and we were able to brainstorm more features that would target our users' needs.
It was a day full of learning and I am so much grateful to God for this opportunity and also I am thankful to my team, even if my part was just in the documentation and research side.
TIl NEXT TIME :>)
