Before the Candles Were Lit 🎉

Hello, people of Hiver World! Happy New Year to you all 🫶🏼

It’s so good to be back here. I’m truly grateful to God for how good He was to me throughout 2025. Even before 2026 arrived, I had already received so many great things and countless blessings.

One of the blessings I received in this very first month of the year—also my birth month—was a beautiful surprise from the kids in Bunhayag. If you still remember from my previous blogs, these are the kids I teach about the Bible.

Last Saturday, I truly didn’t expect that they had prepared an early birthday surprise and a gift for me. It completely melted my heart. Seeing their effort, care, and love just to surprise me meant so much. Pheww… my heart is incredibly happy 🤍

I received chocolates, clothes, and even the most beautiful, colorful bracelets 😍 They look like beach-themed bracelets, and I absolutely love them. The kids also wanted me to join in on a new trend called Love. Joy. Hope. Action.

After our lesson—which was all about trusting Christ alone—I made a boat and used it as an illustration. I explained that storms, problems, and sufferings may hit both sides of the boat, just as challenges come into our lives. But even then, we still have Jesus with us.

When I opened the boat that had been “hit by storms and problems,” what amazed them was that it formed a cross, representing Jesus. I told them that whatever they may go through in life, they should always remember that Jesus is in their hearts.

After that, we had our games, and they truly enjoyed every moment. Praise God for the lives of these kids 🤍🙏

The hair clip in my hair is one of the thoughtful gifts I received from one of these kids, and it means so much to me.

As I reflect on this moment, my heart is filled with gratitude. These kids reminded me that love doesn’t have to be grand—it’s found in simple gestures, sincere efforts, and genuine hearts. Their surprise, their joy, and their faith encouraged me more than they’ll ever know. I praise God for allowing me to be part of their lives and for using them to bless me in such a beautiful way. Indeed, all glory belongs to Him 🤍🙏
