New Year's Celebration: Filipino Tradition

December 31, 2024, at 5:00 in the afternoon. Everyone was too busy, most of the People, preparing their food to eat by New Year's Eve.
We Filipinos, it's Our tradition to celebrate New Year. As for us, it's our way to welcome another year of life, another year of adventure, fortune, and love as well.

On New Year's Eve, everyone was so excited. Most of us wear a Polka Dots shirt and dress, and of course, we have a round shape of 13 fruits at a table. Do you know what is the most exciting part of New Year's Eve? Of Course! The fireworks display and making noise of vehicles. We always have that because in, Us, We believe that making noises, can take away bad luck throughout the year. It was Our Superstitious belief.
After the noises and fireworks display, Everyone ate the food they prepared. Some have a toast and cheers of wine to celebrate a new grant of life in each individual.

In the morning, Everyone was so tired yet, can still managed to go out to have a glimpse at the beach. Yes, after a tiring night, it's our attitude to go to the beach to relax and let the kids play through the seawater. Some are having a family reunion at the beach too. They sing and dance, eat, play on the sand, have conversations, and laugh.

I and my husband also went to the beach, it was so calm, we met there some friends too. We exchanged conversations, on how the New Year goes through both families. We are so happy, our hearts are full of love. I can say New Year is so much fun, you can see smiles on everyone's faces. And if you look at them closely you can see hope, love, trust, and longing that this Year 2025, will bring happiness, joy, fulfillment, satisfaction, prosperity, and fortune.
