Celebrating Our Zone Fiesta Here In Zone 23

We always did this celebration every September 27, were feast of Saint Miguel Archangel will be held just like in Iligan City. Expected to have a busy day helping at the church and cleaning the areas. Yesterday morning, at exactly 7 AM when our church leader decided to do procession of the Saint. This is our tradition as a Catholic.

We also decorated lots of colorful flowers at the altar and we're very thankful to all people who donated lots of flowers. Before the procession started, we decorated the altar first, cleaned the chapel while waiting others to attend the Procession. A moment later, we prayed a short prayer and begun to walk bringing the Saints and do procession.

The route of the Procession will be at the three Zones here in Manticao, many people followed and joined the Procession of Saints. The church leader and organizers decided to do this important activities early in the morning to avoid an intense heat. My Father and his friend carried the saints and they are very happy and enjoyed doing it. It takes almost an hour of procession and After that A Mass will followed moment later.

9 in the Morning when the Mass started, lots of people attended the Mass and even if it is ordinary time, still many people will came here everytime when there is a mass. Some of the church goers are came from Zone 19 and Zone 9. Lots of children playing outside of the Chapel while others are sitting outside of the chapel because the seats are already occupied. Different kinds of foods are also prepared to all. The mass takes almost an hour after that, they announced for giving some food packs afterwards.

The food packs are also prepared and ready to distribute to the church goers. Almost 150 food packs are in this long table also a hundreds of softdrinks is also displayed here. People continuously arrived at the church bringing their Families and Friends. After the Mass, a christining ceremonies followed by, and there are two babies were baptized that day. This is also one of traditions everytime when there is a Mass during fiesta. The baptism ceremonies will done in free, but because there have not enough space inside of the chapel, only the Parents and the Baby can be at the front of the altar.

The distribution of foods packs was done after the Mass. All church goers received food packs especially elders and childrens. They are very happy reiciving their food packs and enjoyed eating together with their Families and Friends. Saint Miguel Archangel is our Patron here in Zone 23, 19 and 9. This three Zones are combined not only for feista activities but also in ordinary time. It was a wonderful day I have yesterday, the organizers was very thankful to all people who helped for the feistival preparation and to all church goers who attended the Processions.
