Yesterday Me and My Friend were decided to went in an old and abandoned port in Naawan, Misamis Oriental. This old port is located near at the fish port also, the place were lots of fish displayed and scaled by fishermen before selling it to the market place. Every afternoon, there are lots of people came here just to take pictures of the sunset, aside of that they also fun to walked at the beach with this sandy areas together with their friends or families. That was my first time to visit the place in that kind of time. We went there at exactly 4 in the afternoon and the sun was nearly setting down, and thats what we want to take a photo and also includes exploring the place.

This is the old port I am talking about. Its been past many years since I did came back in here. The time when I visited this place, this old port was still intact and a long concrete bridge straight to the port was still attached and connected. But as I came back, it was totally destroyed by sea waves and the only thing remains are the big stones. The platform is the only place left to the sea but still there are lots of people who came and climb to the top for doing fishing and cast their fishing lure while standing to the top of the port.

It was lucky for us during the visit because the waves was very calm and there was no strong winds happens that time. We decided to walked to the beach, exploring the the place and takes more pictures of the views. This place ia near at College School and their are also lots of students who came here every afternoon. A few beach resort are also near in this abandoned port and a few houses. It was nearly 5 in the afternoon and I saw that some of the residents there was preparing for fishing to the sea. They checked their nets and their small boats before sailing to the sea.

Aside from that, I noticed that some of the area of the resort has slowly damage by big waves, it continously collapsing the sand creating a cliffs and the roota of the coconut trees are also shown up.

Most of the residents lives near at the coastal areas particularly here at the abandoned port are fishermen, this is one of their primary source of income. They owned a small and unique boats made of light materials just like plywoods, lumbers and bamboo pieces. This small boats was floating to the sea but it wont still flashing out because it was tying up on a big stone under water. But everytime when there a bad weather and big waves, those small boats will place on high ground so the sea water can't reaches.

This ia one of the beach resort abandoned a few years ago already. The roots of this coconut trees started to shown because of the sea water and it will be expected to collapse and leaning to the ground any time. It creates a sand cliff resulting that the sand ia continously to collapsing. Some of the resorts built a concrete walls to keep the place of not getting eroded. This is a perfect way to keep the place intact because of the concrete walls built in that areas.

This is the place were fresh and salt water mixed, it called Estuarine. The place contains lots of fish that is why some fishermen went here to catch more fish. There is also long flood control structures to keep those houses built near at the river safe from flash floods.

This place is really perfect for summer activities gateaways because of its cool and wonderful surrounding including its views. Thank you for visiting and reading my post, have a nice day everyone.
