There are 2 parts of the program in which I attended, the oath-taking of the newly promoted Philippine Coast Guard Auxillary Officers and the donning of new squadron members that includes me and my cousin.

The first part of the program was the promotion of the Philippine Coast Guard Officers who already volunteered number of years for dedicated service and passion for volunteerism.

Then, followed by the donning and oath-taking ceremony of the newly appointed members of the regular squadron that reached 135 individuals including myself and my first cousin.

I am glad that my father was around to witness the ceremony just to make him proud.

My father was the one who put on the shoulder board rank for me.

I hope I made him proud.

This is the copy of the program.

Our organic Philippine Coast Guard nephew approached us after the donning of ranks, he was surprised to see my father so he came closer to talk to us and we had the photo opportunity.

Our nephew said that it's good that we joined the Philippine Coast Guard Auxillary so we can volunteer and serve the country.

I also asked my father if he is interested to join the Coast Guard Auxillary.

My father said he will think about it. The 2 sons of my cousin also attended the ceremony they are our photographers.

The husband of my cousin who is also a Coast Guard Auxillary Squadron Officer was the one who recruited us to join he is the Chief of Staff of our squadron.

At the end of the program we sing this song together.

Photo opportunity took place after the programs. I also had the chance to meet and greet new faces.

It's inspiring to see people who have the heart to serve the country and fellowmen.
