Our Quick Short Vacation in BICOL 2025

I'm back again. Yeah "AGAIN" because I always saying it everytime I update here. I don't really know what's wrong why I always keep on coming in here, maybe because I missed all of you here. The true stories that you wrote which I read was so comforting and ofcourse all of your advices. And most importantly in this platform, it is where I can share everything that no one will discriminate or bashed you.

So anyway I'm sorry for being not so active this several months because I'm too busy. I visit here but can't share for a moment. That's what I also do on my other platforms.

I will not share anymore what makes me so busy about those days. What I wanted to share with you all was the "Quick Short Vacation in BICOL" with my family. Yeah it's too short because it's only 4 days if I'm not mistaken.

Last June 27,2025 we left Leyte and travel going to Bicol, specifically "Tabaco City, Albay". May I asked,what's come to your mind if you heared the place BICOL/ALBAY? Because mostly Filipinos knows it.

So much for that thinking thing. Let's spoil it. When we heared Bicol what comes first on our mind is that "MAYON VOLCANO". Yes the famous "perfect cone shaped volcano" found in the Philippines. It is were you can see and witness the majestic Beautiful Mayon Volcano and here in Albay we called it "DARAGANG MAGAYON" (A BEAUTIFUL LADY).

One of the reason why were here is that, we are visiting my Aunt Ester. She is the older sister of my mother. And it's been 12 years already since the last time I've been here and saw each other.

Last year we asked permission to my mother's grave if this year we can't visit her because were planning on visiting her older sister, and so that's it, we came here.

And aside from that were also here so that I can formally introduce my husband to her, together with my cousin and her family. And ofcourse my friends and co-workers before. It's a meet and greet thing.

And ofcourse, I also wanted to show to my husband the beauty of Albay. So I asked my friend/co-worker gay if he can join us to visit one of the famous tourist spot in Albay which is "CAGSAWA RUINS", and thankfully he said yes. And he will be our tour guide for that day. Because It's not clear anymore for me, so much thing have already changed and improved.

So the day came. Whose with us, was my husband, sister, 2 cousins and my friend. We woke up early, so that we can come back home early but sad to say my gay friend was so late. We eat our breakfast first and then after that we went to the Terminal.

Since it's just a one place and we only have a little budget, we didn't rent a car, we just commute. Anyway it's just a 1 hour travel all in all in going to the said place.

First we ride a jeepney from our town to Legazpi City for 30-45 minutes. Since my gay friend was late, we left our town at around 10:30 in the morning. So we arrived in Legazpi it's already lunch time. So we decided to take a lunch first before going to cagsawa which is 15-20 minutes ride only. So we enter SM Mall to have a lunch. Since we had a kid we choose to eat in Jollibee.

After eating we went to terminal to ride a jeepney again to Cagsawa. And as we arrived there someone picked us up. My friend already booked an ATV riding for a cheap price. So the guy brought us to there place and asked of what trail are we going to choose,and we decided just a grass short trail just for us to experienced riding an ATV.

After paying and choosing the trail, the receptionist asked 2 trainers to orient and guide us,then one of the guy told us to choose a helmet four our safety. And on the orientation they also teach us how to operate the ATV. And the signs of the hand of the trainer who will lead us for the instructions, since we can't hear each other once we drove.

In this package, photos and videos are included so we just let them hold our cellphone and there the one who take us photos. This time were not so lucky, because Mayon didn't show up. But still were grateful and enjoyed the ride.

After the ATV riding. We went to the Ruins. We took lots of photos.The ruins still the same but what sorrounds it was changed, since the last time I visited it. It's more beautiful than before.

After the sight seeing and pictorial. We sat one of the store there and ordered shakes. It's so hot so we need to take something cold.

And while I'm taking up orders, I saw this famous "CHILI ICE CREAM" were you can only found and taste here in Bicol, because as you all knew Albayanos are so fund of Chili's. So before anything else I bought this chili ice cream flavored strawberry, because I wont go back to Leyte without tasting it. And it was so amazing. It's legit. You can taste first the yummy strawberry flavor and when it's melt the hotness of the chili was left. And later on our shakes was served. To make it short, after that, We decided to go home.

Were all very tired, but were so happy. The kids and us ofcourse enjoyed this short trip. I asked all of them which part they liked the most? They answered the ATV Riding. It's a fun experience. And were thankful for the two guys who guides and make us all safe. Anyway, It's a memories that will last forever.
