Hello everyone!
Today, I decided to take a little break from work and spend some quality time with my daughter. Lately, I have been thinking about how quickly time passes. There is always something to do, something to finish, and something to worry about, and sometimes we become so busy that we forget to simply enjoy the people who are right in front of us. So this morning, I told myself that I would not think too much about work. I just wanted to enjoy the day with my daughter and make another simple memory with her.

We went to Magsaysay Park in Tacurong City. Before we started playing, my daughter had her breakfast first because I knew she would be too excited to eat once she saw the playground. She fried chicken because in our house we eat vegetables always. After breakfast, we headed to the play area, and the moment she saw the candy-themed park and the different playground toys, she immediately ran toward them. I could hardly keep up with her! She was so excited, and I could see from her face how much she was enjoying the morning.

As I watched her play, I realized again that children do not really need expensive things to be happy. Sometimes, all they need is a place where they can run around, play, laugh, and enjoy time with their parents. Seeing her happiness was already enough for me. Her excitement reminded me why it is important to sometimes put our work and responsibilities aside and simply be present.

Magsaysay Park is actually a nice place for families. Aside from the playground, there are areas where people can exercise and even play pickleball, which is becoming popular nowadays. There are also restaurants and places where you can have a meal or merienda, and the park has free Wi-Fi as well. There are many things that adults can enjoy, but honestly, my daughter was only interested in one thing the playground!

While she was playing, something unexpected and heartwarming happened. A mother approached my daughter while she wanted to buy some popcorn. They had a little conversation, and the mother noticed my daughter's behavior. She told her to continue growing up to be a kind and good child. Hearing that made me happy because, as a mother, it is always nice when another person notices something good about your child. My daughter also responded to her nicely, and I was happy to see that simple interaction.
For me, that was more than just a conversation. It became a small lesson for my daughter. She was able to play and have fun, but at the same time, she also learned something about being kind, respectful, and friendly to other people. Sometimes, children learn the most from simple situations that happen naturally in their everyday lives.

After she had enough time to play, we went to buy some groceries before heading home. She was happy and thankful for our little morning together, and I was happy too. Though, it was time for us to go home because Mommy needed to get back to work.
I also want my daughter to understand that Mommy has responsibilities. When I am working, she needs to learn how to behave and be patient because we cannot always go out and play whenever she wants. I told her that we can have another fun day at the park next month. For a child, next month probably feels very far away, but I want her to slowly learn that sometimes we have to wait for the things we want. More importantly, I want her to learn how to appreciate the things she already has.

Our visit today may seem like a very simple activity, but it meant a lot to me. I got to spend time with my daughter without thinking too much about work. I watched her run, play, laugh, and enjoy being a child. Those are the moments I know I will treasure someday.
We can always return to our work and responsibilities, but we cannot return to this exact stage of our children's childhood. They grow so quickly, and before we know it, the little girl who once ran excitedly toward the playground will be bigger and have her own interests, dreams, and busy life.

That is why I want to make time for these simple moments whenever I can. Sometimes, it can be as simple as having breakfast, going to the park, watching your child play, buying a few groceries, and going home together.

Today was just a simple morning at Magsaysay Park, but for me, it was a beautiful reminder that the little moments in life are worth appreciating. I may have to go back to work after our bonding time, but I am thankful that I was able to pause for a while and enjoy this day with my daughter.
