6th Purok Anniversary Celebrated Simply Amid Challenges and Frequent Earthquake

Good day everyone! Were marking the 6th anniversary of our purok today, keeping it simple despite challenges and the recent hardships in our community. A special day that reminds us of the strength and unity in our community. While we would have loved a big celebration, this year, we kept things simple and solemn due to several challenges. Many households in our area are facing financial difficulties, our province experiences frequent earthquakes, and sadly we lost a member recently, despite these hardships, we are grateful that we were still able to come together and celebrate our purok’s anniversary.

This year’s celebration was organized as a bring your ow baon gathering, which made it easy for everyone to participate despite the limitations. Even with a small number of attendees, the day felt meaningful. We started with a bible service, reflecting on gratitude, hope and the value of community support. The spiritual part of our celebration reminded us that togetherness and cooperation are more important than expensive and extravagance celebration.

Having fewer members present also had some advantages. Organizing the event became faster and smoother and everyone actively cooperated in preparing and arranging the venue. Prayers and shared meals created an atmosphere of joy and bonding as one community. We felt joyful today.

This anniversary reminded us that community is define by connection, faith and mutual support. Each small act of helping one another strengthens our bond and keeps our purok alive. While life may bring challenges, moments like today show cooperation and unity can turn any gathering into a meaningful celebration.
