Are we really supporting the Hive Blockchain?
How do you support crypto (Hive) without falling into the trap of FUD? I've been reading a lot lately how the community feels about the blockchain. I can sense strong indication of FUD! When I found out about Bitcoin around 14 years ago my mind just went straight to HODL. There is no term for holding the token back then so you just accumulate and forget. Even though there are many challenges in life never had I thought about withdrawing some of it (because I forgot about it 😂). Until people started talking about it in the Philippines. It is like a viral video, TikTok, reels or what not. My instinct tells me to pull out at least 70%. I checked the price and it's $ 19-20 thousand dollars. Something huge is gonna happen here I was thinking of the housing bubble in America. Of course my instinct is correct.
Can I say as a Filipino I'm OG of crypto? I don't know. In the new age or era there are so many social media platforms out there the fear is all over the place. Here are some tips for my fellow brothers and sisters out there.
Educate yourself with Facts
Provide Accurate Information = Share reliable and verified information about crypto. Use reliable sources.
Explain Blockchain Technology = Help others understand the fundamentals of blockchain how it works and its potential.
Benefits
Decentralization = Emphasize the benefits of decentralization such as reducing the need for intermediaries and enhancing security.
Innovation: Showcase innovative projects and real-world use cases where blockchain and crypto have made a positive impact.
Acknowledge Risks and Challenges
Volatility = Be honest about the price volatility of crypto and the potential for significant financial losses.
Security Concerns = Discuss the importance of securing crypto assets including the risks of hacking and scams.
Be Responsible
Read Read Read = Encourage thorough research before investing or participating in any crypto project.
Security Measures = Advocate for strong security practices such as using hardware wallets enabling two-factor authentication, and being wary of phishing scams.
Diversify = Suggest not putting all financial resources into cryptocurrencies and diversifying investments to manage risk. Do not put all your eggs in one basket by Warren Buffet.
Engage with the Community
Join Discords and Groups = Participate in discussions in crypto communities to stay informed and share insights.
Transparency = Be transparent about your own involvement in the cryptocurrency space, whether you are an investor, developer, or enthusiast.
Stay Updated
Follow REAL News Sources = Keep up with the latest news from credible sources to stay informed about developments and changes in the crypto world. If you have time attend gatherings and talks IRL.
Ethical Behavior
Avoid Pump-and-Dump Schemes = Avoid participation in schemes that artificially inflate the price of cryptocurrencies.
Note1 : This is not a financial advice! I'm not an expert! The article is IMHO (in my humble opinion).
Note2 : All I did was read, read, read.
I want to highlight this post by Mam @ruffatotmeee . It's in Tagalog the way she pointed out how Hive Blockchain helps her and her family. The @hivephilippines community is thriving because of the core values of the Filipinos God Fearing, Family Values and Resiliency. Sauce Capt'n
God bless you all!
DMC.
I have been in the crypto-blogging since 2020, and I can say that I have really grown a lot as a writer as well. But I don't have enough time to spread the Hive platform. I only invited a few people.
Crypto is more scary, lalo kapag naglabas ka nang pera to put it into crypto. Like kada may FUD, kakabahan ka, at maiisip na mag pull out even though palugi. Kaya nakakatakot tumambay sa socmed ee, lalo sa Twitter mas talamak Crypto News dun compare sa fb. Anyways, thanks sa tips and sa pag mention sa article ko. This is so helpful, especially dun sa nag sisimula palang.
Walang anuman mam God bless you!
Thanks for the advice. I try to read more about crypto and ask questions for clarifications.
