Hello ASEAN Hive Community! This is my first entry here and I noticed there hasn’t been much posts from fellow Singaporeans so I shall begin with a post on the “Singapore” squat!
Nowadays, one will seldom see the commonly associated “smoking/ eating while squatting” scene in Singapore. Instead, two other types of squats are more prevalent now.
Avid photographers will care enough about the camera angle such that they will lower themselves for a better shot. And our Prime Minister is among them, as featured in The Atlantic during his visit to the White House. This is also a very common sight along Singapore city area where tourists and locals love to take a shot against the scenic backdrop of the tall urban buildings!
With the rising trend of health and fitness, we begin to see more gyms open up in the Singapore neighborhoods, even including a gym retrofitted into a cargo container as featured in the image above. Inevitably, once you enter the gyms, you are bound to see people performing weight squats!
So what about you, what kinda squats do you see around in your area? 😃
