The ASEAN Hive VIP Lounge is a little chilly this week due to the Winter Olympics landing in the lounge and creating a good amount of competitive chaos.

If you're a real Southeast Asian there's little chance you have a pair of snow skis. No problem though, the ASEAN Hive VIP Lounge has a big haul of official Winter Olympics gear for you all to experiment with and see if you may be a future frozen gold medalist. The luge is already a big hit, but I must admit it has caused a lot of damage to the disco floor and art gallery walls. What matters most though is that we have fun, be warm, and stay safe if possible.

Figure skating and ice hockey have proven to be more fun when combined as a single sport, so whoever thought of that I applaud you. We decided it was inappropriate to use guns in our biatholon, so for a non-violent option we went with competitive noodle soup eating because it will keep our tropical skiers warm and energized. If you're still here and not frozen yet, I highly encourage you to ski onward and check out these five awesome posts from each of our VIP tiers.

(ᴇxᴄᴇʀᴘᴛ) It's Lunar New Year and I guess that I forgot that this was the case. I headed out to the local shopping center only to be greeted by basically everyone in town also being there. I came here for something really specific so I just got into a lift/elevator and headed up to what I came there for. During that journey I was kind of surprised to see that the arcade was basically completely devoid of kids running around and screaming as the rest of the mall was absolutely packed with them.

(ᴇxᴄᴇʀᴘᴛ) It was about 6 years ago when I decided at the encouragement of a friend to go over to Thailand and live / possibly work for a year when I was not very happy with my employment opportunities after graduating from college with a degree in Economics. I kind of fell in love with living here and am still here well beyond the time that I promised I would go back. Sometimes I look at my situation and think I am making a mistake but the good news is that I am still putting money away in the bank and investing, even though my wages are probably around 1/3 - 1/4 what they could potentially be if I was back in Texas.

(ᴇxᴄᴇʀᴘᴛ) Back to writing this week. Been so lag for the past weeks because maybe rains would literally just make you uninspired if you don't feel like to become melancholic. I planned the night before to walk at CCLEX New Road. At 5 a.m., I stepped out of the house, convinced the darkness was only because it was early. I didn’t notice the heavy clouds resting above the sky. I thought it was just dawn taking its time.

(ᴇxᴄᴇʀᴘᴛ) As of today, there’s still no update about the BBQ stall slot that I am praying and hoping for. Still, even without confirmation, my heart is already excited. Maybe that’s just how I am, once I start dreaming about something, I can’t stop imagining it becoming real. 💪😊 Even though I don’t have the stall yet, I already started creating the business name and designing the tarpaulin. Some people might say it’s too early, but for me, it’s a sign of faith. I am preparing as if it’s already mine. 😊🙏

(ᴇxᴄᴇʀᴘᴛ) Greetings, everyone! I hope you’re all having a wonderful day. Every new day gives us another chance to smile, learn, and appreciate the little things that make life special.
