     Things are kind of romantic this week due to the Valentine's spirit floating around the lounge. I decided to go with the flow and paint everything red or pink, plus I added teddy bears and hearts wherever possible. Okay, I know this might not be a big hit with the guys, but the ladies love a good Valentine's Day celebration, and a happy wife makes a happy life, am I right?

     There are enough cookies and chocolates stashed throughout the lounge to give every man, woman, and child in Southeast a case of the diabetes. With this in mind, I hope you all will practice self-control and not eat yourselves into a designer chocolate coma. I've placed roses in vases throughout, added mood lighting, and R&B is gently blasting from various speakers scattered around the lounge. Oh yeah, I missed the ASEAN Hiver of the Week post yesterday, apologies, but I was occupied with US visa issues and don't have much time to play catch-up this week.

Another crazy dream rooted in my distant past

I don't usually have scary dreams but I do often have dreams that are very frustrating and according to the professional head shrinks out there, my dreams are frustrating because I experience frustration in my own life. I'll get into that explanation and how it could be true towards the end of this writeup, but for now I want to talk about what was in the dream while it is still fresh on my mind because I just woke up.

Unplanned trip to Hatyai

^{(ᴇxᴄᴇʀᴘᴛ)} During the Chinese New Year (CNY) break, my family and I took an unplanned three-day trip to Hatyai. Initially, we had planned to go glamping in Putrajaya, but after seeing the rental cost, I suggested to my wife that we could use that budget for a trip outside of Kuala Lumpur instead. Without hesitation, she said yes, and we quickly packed our bags. I also asked my kids to pack their own clothes while I opened the booking.com app on my smartphone to secure a hotel room.

Tasting New Flavors: A Solo Foodie’s Quest

It's really different when I go here by myself than going with friends or family and the experience will also different. Anyway, I decided on going here again because exploring is one of my hobby and I hadn't enough time to explore and to look for food when we went here with my co-workers.

I love the days when everything gets done without needing to be rushed

Walked in the market with no time limit, looked at the products and people, and stopped to say hello to friends I met by chance. Choose to buy products that I like and are of good quality. and drove to home to prepare food for everyone in my family that I love.

Visiting Old Friends - Town Hopping!

^{(ᴇxᴄᴇʀᴘᴛ)} One thing we did during our visit to my hometown was visit some of my old friends. Friends that I've known long before social media was a thing. Since my family and I live in the city, I rarely visit them in person. We were home for the holidays and we had time to visit them (my friends) in their homes. Before our travel to Negros, I have already informed some of my friends that my family and I will visit. It could be before New Year's Day or the days after.
