Welcome to the ASEAN Hive Community's "ASEAN Hiver Of The Week" post, where I (@justinparke) highlight one of our community members.
This week's featured ASEAN Hiver hails from Myanmar, a place that has been quite chaotic the last few years. Even though the troubles in this country have been more recently overshadowed by events in the Gaza Strip and Ukraine, things are still quite intense in Myanmar for ordinary folk.
Luckily for this young lady she has a wealth of talents that will ensure her success in life no matter how bad things might get in her country. Whether it be crocheting, cooking, blogging about travel and daily life, studying to be a nurse/pharmacist aid, or plying her skills as a gardener, there's seemingly no challenge, task, or skill she can't conquer.
Here in Cambodia there are a few Burmese restaurants, and since discovering this cuisine it has become one of my favorites, especially lahpet, a fermented tea leaf salad you must try. There aren't many ASEAN Hivers from Myanmar posting frequently, so I am always awaiting any delicious recipes from this young chef. Best of all is that she often picks things straight from the garden that she uses in her cooking.
If you want to learn more about this country, culture, or cuisine, @winelay's blog is certainly worth a visit. She's of course a talented writer, photographer, and an engaged community member, because you don't find yourself in this curation without those assets. Let's all rally round and show this young lady some ASEAN Hive love and support.
Delegators are valued members of our community, so each @asean.hive curation post (other than the main weekly delegator raffle post) features a mini 🙇♀delegator raffle in the footer, with the winner receiving 15% post beneficiary.
What a blessed young lady with her wonderful talents, She really deserve this highlight congratulations!!🫶🏻
btw, I'm hooked with confusion with thier fermented tea leaf salad "lahpet" which i wanna tryy🥹🥹
Lahpet is one of my favorite foods. It can be eaten with rice or as a snack. However, it is not recommended for girls to eat lahpet during menstruation. This is because it can stop menstruation and can also cause stomach pain. Thank you for your comment, friend.
