April 12th, 2025This raffle is later than scheduled due to a cell phone tower outage, sorry folks. Life is beautiful here in our remote part of the Cardamom Mountains, but it comes with challenges like landslides, flash floods, power outages, and internet comes only via a cell phone tower that runs on a diesel generator as backup. Rarely does the cellular signal go out without a power outage, but that was the case for nearly 36 hours, so here I am online again and doing my best to catch up.
Well, anyhow, here we are with another raffle once again. My wife and kids are on a road-trip for Khmer New Year, so if you noticed @srey-yuu's Top 3 curation post was missing, you'd be right. She was too caught up in fun and I didn't want to remind her she has to work on her holiday. As for me, I'm just at home taking care of the cats, and I'm glad I stayed because I am now tending to a feline eye injury.
@rosmadirazali has upped his delegation a bit and now sits at 1,205 HP, but other than that I didn't notice much delegation activity. I am still hoping to start blogging again soon, but who knows, it's only a month and a half before we must travel to the USA for 10 months, so life is likely to remain hectic until we leave. How The VIP Delegator Raffle Works
Every raffle I tally the total HP delegated to the @asean.hive curation account, and one raffle ticket is allocated for each HP delegated by you ASEAN Hivers (excluding [me] @justinparke, @srey-yuu, @sakana & @sreypov), with a minimum delegation of 50 HP to be eligible for the ASEAN Hive VIP 🥉 BRONZE Raffle.
There are five separate raffles, one for each VIP tier, and each tier's prize is a post beneficiary status equivalent to the tier's total percentage of raffle tickets allocated. This means the percentages of each tier's share of the prize is fluid, and I think it makes the raffle more fun and fairer.
This week's total effective HP is 193,342, and total delegated HP is 178,380 HP (137,355 HP minus ASEAN team member delegations & delegations under 50 HP), so I plugged the numbers into my Raffle Picker iOS app, selected "pick winners," and the results were instantly and randomly calculated.
