Greetings ASEAN Hivers, @justinparke here with a new challenge about the rainy season that we all know so dear, so start snapping the monsoon rains.

It's the rainy season in most of Southeast Asia, and with it comes a lot of flooding, but also a lot of beauty and photography potential. If you can keep your smartphone or camera dry there are plenty of good shots to be taken just before, during, and just after a rainstorm. Of course safety is a priority, don't go getting electrocuted or falling into a ditch for this challenge.

Capture the best moments that highlight your experience of the monsoons and rainy season and share it with us ASEAN Hivers. Tell a story too of course, especially your experience during the rains and all the good and bad it brings. The air is often very clean and fresh after a storm, but it can often come at the cost of a flooded room or leaky roof, but the rainy season doesn't cater to anyone. There certainly were some big stories for the small things in this challenge. From the handheld to the on-wrist, some of these things triggered some nostalgia in myself, especially the cassette recorder. I really wish I had kept some things from my childhood, but choosing a life in Cambodia kind of meant I had to let a lot of things from my past go, all but a single tote bin. Congratulations to the winners! Though I wasn't able to read your entries, surely it's a good one. I just took a break from work. Holidays are in the offing, so it means it would be toxic until the end of the year for the publishing company. I will partake once in a while with the contest @justinparke.
