Greetings ASEAN Hivers, this week's challenge is all about language(s), so share any languages you've learned, are learning, and basically anything to do with language that you find interesting.
I am always fascinated by proverbs, expressions, idioms, and unique words that don't translate well to other languages. Languages are simply fascinating, so for this challenge I am super flexible with how you approach this week's challenge. Perhaps your part of the country has a very strange accent, maybe you even know some local dialects that your fellow citizens don't understand, all things like this are welcome.
Are you learning any languages or have studied a foreign language in the past? This would be welcome content, and of course the language doesn't have to relate to Southeast Asia. A friend of mine in Thailand recently met a Laotian woman that works as a Russian language teacher, and people like that are usually very interesting characters to meet. Last but not least, many of you ASEAN Hivers are non-native English speakers, so of course you can share the journey of how you learned English.
Meows and woofs were the main animals featured in our paws and claws challenge, but there were birds, fish and more interesting pets that were submitted for this challenge. There were several entries, and it caused me to have difficulty narrowing things down to only three winners, In the previous challenge post you can find all the entries submitted, so if you have time I recommend exploring all posts in addition to the winners.
Hi all, my name is Herry the beagle from Thailand. I do have paws but dont have claws. I'm the one which my owner reiden always talking about. So join me for today's challenge. Let's have a swim!! This summer my owner he took me go to the nearest beach for a swim. What he did is let me swim with gold necklace.
The community challenge for this week brought me memories about paws and claws. Remembering my 35th birthday this was really extra ordinary. On Valentine's Day, I was accidentally scratched by a stray kitten of my daughter, @katsuki29. I know it didn't really mean too, but I was stressed because Ria had also finished her vaccines and I was forced to take an anti-rabies too. It was really small like a dot, but I watched informations about anti rabies online.
Last November, a cat gave birth in one of the empty rooms in our house. The room had an open window, so I assumed she entered through there. The family didn't know she was living there, but I noticed she would come and go from the house, asking for food, which I happily provided. I decided to befriend her and was surprised that she let me pat her head despite some cats not liking to be petted.
Delegators are valued members of our community, so each @asean.hive curation post (other than the main weekly delegator raffle post) features a mini delegator raffle in the footer, with the winner receiving 15% post beneficiary.
