Greetings ASEAN Hivers, this weeks' challenge is focused on traditional homes, whether it be bamboo huts in the rice fields or stone homes in the city.
Β Β Β This week's challenge is a big change from last week, which focused on derelict and abandoned buildings. It's all about traditional homes and construction for this one, whether it be a simple hut or a house on stilts near the river, Southeast Asia is full of various traditional home styles. Here in Cambodia there are floating villages, and these home styles haven't changed much for several centuries.
Β Β Β Whether it be ornate urban buildings or modest wooden bungalows in the countryside, all our welcome for this challenge. I hope the varied architecture highlights the different backgrounds, lifestyles, and cultures of Southeast Asia. As the years go by many skillsets are lost due to modern adaptations, and many of the homes built today aren't nearly as sturdy or beautiful as the traditional designs that required talented builders. Okay, I think that's clear enough, please enjoy and I look forward to reading your entries....
Β Β Β Sadly there was only one entry for last week's challenge, but it was a quality post worthy of taking all three prizes. After reading the post I felt a little spooked, but also wanting to do some urban exploration of my own here in Cambodia. Please take a moment to read the winning post and consider an upvote if you find it worthy.
Actually this is my first time joining the challenge, although it is a quite scary but I've tried to captured photos as early as possible for my subject house, because the day is almost swallowed by the dark, so I need to be quick and hurry. Where in the Philippines, superstitious belief are such undeniable. Traditional story, most especially one concerning the early history of a people or explaining some natural. And typically involving supernatural beings, likes; white lady, black lady, kapre, nuno and other ancient myth dimensions.
Β Β Β Delegators are valued members of our community, so each @asean.hive curation post (other than the main weekly delegator raffle post) features a mini delegator raffle in the footer, with the winner receiving 15% post beneficiary.
We don't even hear about the traditional house these days. It's like everything has become a digital form. People have a lot of memories attached to the traditional relationship, well we can present about that. With such a wonderful idea, the event will create a great atmosphere.
Very true my friend. I noticed you joined the challenge but forgot to share your post link here. Please participate in future challenges, yours was a good entry, but you missed out on the prizes because you forgot to share your post link.
thanks for you so much for your information have a great day sir
Congratulations @natz04.
I feel you @justinparke, change, they say is a constant thing and although it's rather sad that traditional building skills are slowly deteriorating, the fact that we embrace modern structures makes us adaptable, don't you think?
t
Thank you.
I have only been a helper in various construction trades, but here in Cambodia I feel qualified to be a foreman, haha. In my own state in the USA though, we build these massive weak houses made from wood and flimsy boards. The homes are beautiful from the outside, but cheap and it only takes a few seconds for a tornado to destroy one.
Wow thank you admin, I can't really believing on this, hit three birds on one stone. I can't really imagine.. thank you so much. Thanks also to all who congratulates me, such an honor to be here. Keep safe everyone!
Sometimes you can win big, and well, you earned it. There was another entry but the author forgot to share his post link here.
Oh so sad, by the way thank you for sharing some rewards to my amount, so grateful for that π

Slight modernized with the tin roof. I loved to see it with the cogon grass roof, nipa. But anyways, that is how we built this time so we no longer change the roof frequently.
Yes ate, I also experienced using anahaw leaves rooftop but we also replaced with plainsheets.
Thank you for visiting my post Te, Have a nice day. βΊοΈ
Love it, similar to Khmer style in a few ways.

By the way admin, how to claim my ecency points? Is it convertible to hive power? Because I want to increase my power, hopefully you response. Thank you..
Ecency will be use to gift to other hive and ecency users and helps you to promote you post or other post Sir.
I already sent the points to you 8 days ago, you don't have to claim them, they are sitting in your Ecency points wallet. Unfortunately the points can no longer be used for boosts after the recent changes from Ecency, but there are some new ways you can use the points that I have not taken the time to become familiar with.
Ah okay, thanks for response and for the tips admin.
