Hello beautiful people!
Last December 30th we attended a wedding. oOoOO! I love attending weddings. Do you love it too?
I love looking at the entourage and of course the beautiful bride with her beautiful white dress. How they adorn the church, the venue, The flowers, the center pieces and other added add ons like some fireworks during and at the end of the program.
Hubby was asked to be one of the principal sponsors. The mother of the groom was his high school classmate.
Since they got together during their High School class '87 grand reunion just recently now they always stay in touch specially during the holiday season. We've had lots of get together with his classmates. It's fun to be reunited with your old classmates. I listen to them while talking about how they were back in the days. How my husband was during their High school time for I always go with them during their gatherings. They say he was just the quiet, studios type, handsome of course, well you have to love your own right?!😄 tall and skinny. Unlike them the loud, always laughing and funny and not that serious with school works. Making their teachers mad at them and sometimes made them walk out of class!😁😀
I am five years younger than them and I graduated from another city and province, different era, different place, different environment. So listening to their stories was really fun.
The wedding was held on another province far from us. We had to travel two hours via the express hi-way just to get there. I loved the weather during our travel, it was cool, cloudy and a bit sunny. Just my kind of weather.
We haven't been there so good thing our son went along with us because it's his school vacation. Angelo is always our guide when it comes to reading the Google map. I find it hard to know where we are on the app so we will really get lost if I will be the navigator. Just like last time when we brought our son to college and to his apartment high up the highlands. It was very easy for us on our way there but when it was just me and hubby on our way back home.... Haha, we got lost. Google maps brought us to a different route and ended up going to a different route which was closed so we had to go back where we came from and did the old school way.... Stopping and asking questions! our son who was monitoring us on his phone called us and said, Mama! Where are you guys going? You are on a different route! Haha! Very very funny! Well, at least now we know where we should exit and go. They say the best way to know a place is for you to get lost first...😁😅
So back to my story before I'll get lost again with all the adlibs.😀😀
The wedding was 2:30pm. We left home past 10am. We arrived at the church past 1pm. There were 20 male principal sponsors and 21 female sponsors. Woa! So many right?! I don't know is that really the norm now? Is that a thing? Because when we got married 27 years ago 1996. We only had three pairs of principal sponsors whom we know, we trusted who will stand as our second parents while we sail through the journey of the married life.
Funny thing, we haven't even met the groom and the bride we just went and attended the ceremonies.
The wedding ceremonies was held at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Parish in Ramos, Tarlac.
The church was built December 02, 1995. I saw these photos of St. Therese inside the church.
The ceremony took around an hour. It was very solemn and was attended by many relatives and friends. The church was not lavishly adorned it was just simple which I think was good so they don't have to spend that much money just for the wedding. What matters most is they can start their new life together as a couple with money in their pockets and savings. They stipulated in the invitation that gifts would be appreciated but they prefer to have some cash which would really benefit them for their home construction.
This is hubby with his partner during their processional march on the beginning of the wedding.

The youngest flower girl who shied away during the procession and together with his partner who both created a scene. Ending, both mothers had to carry the flower girl and her partner.... Haha!
We did not stay for the reception. After the wedding ceremony and the photo session. We approached the newlyweds gave them our cash gift then we left and headed home because there was some emergency that needs to be attended.
We had fun taking photos as a family as well. We told our son he needs to finish college, get a good job or start his own business first, enjoy life. He needs to be stable first, he needs to do something for himself first Before thinking of getting married.... Haha. Anyways he is just twenty now still young.
For the newlyweds Weds here on hive, best wishes and congratulations. May you stay in love until the end of your days together as a couple.

That's a successful wedding. 😍 I love also attending weddings, because of the food. Lol. Anyways, you all look gorgeous and elegant in your outfits. 😉
But how you read the map is a little bit difficult talaga, especially if you can't figure out if you're going forward or back (north or south). Haha
Oo nga I find it complicated.. haha
Thank you for dropping by dear. You have a new follower here!😍🥰
Yey! That's an instant follow back haha.
Last time I attended a wedding was in 2019. I also do not know what is the norm of wedding today hehe, no idea about principals and all. Good thing that the wedding is just low-key. What matters the most is the union of two people. 😊
Thank you for sharing this! 😍
Thank you for dropping by and had fun reading my post.
Haha, I guess it's really up to the bride and groom how many principal sponsors they want to have.
Yah the wedding was just simple not lavishly adorned but the wedding ceremony was very solemn and the priest made a beautiful sermon.
