Hello gardeners! Iām thrilled to share a little update on my garden with you allš
Itās one thing to have a garden and another thing to ensure your garden is thriving.
Our garden is doing so well, blooming and flourishing. Itās all thanks to my aunt for constantly tending to it. Without her, a lot of the plants would have died.
Gardening is her hobby, and she doesnāt fail to experiment with new seeds every now and then.
For a long time, weāve only grown simple plants like pepper, tomatoes, water leaf, vegetables, and a few others but this time we decided to take it a bit further by planting cassava maize, and yam. Yes, we decided to take the risk, and we can say our āriskā is blooming guys hehehehe.
We were reluctant to grow these plants for a long time, as we didnāt know the best season to plant them nor did we know how to tend to them but an acquaintance of ours was kind enough to guide us through the entire process.
Weāve always left the garden for my aunt to tend to, but lately I have been helping her out since I am at home.
We planted maize, yam, and cassava recently, and itās safe to say that they are doing well.
As much as I enjoy staring at these plants, which are literally a product of my sweat and effort, I still canāt get over the days we have to weed the garden. Weeding is so hard, I hate weeding but I still have to do it, regardless.
With the constant rainfall this period, the weeds keep growing faster and bigger, making us weed more which I find annoying but thatās the price we have to pay, right?
Other than the weeds, I love how all the plants in our garden are growing healthy.
It feels just like yesterday when I assisted my aunt in planting some of these plants, and seeing them grow gives me so much joy.
Sometimes I wish I had a magic wand to make them ripe and ready for harvest in no time, but nah, whereās the fun in that?
So Iām trusting the process and I am praying that they all survive.
I canāt wait to harvest the maize as I have waited so long to eat one grown and harvested by me instead of buying from the market, fingers crossed guys!
For the cassava, I donāt know what plans my Aunt has for it. If she is going to make garri out of the cassava or simply sell it, but thereās always a first time for everything right? We shall see.
While my Aunt and I wait for our little plants to mature, we will diligently tend to them and make sure they all grow healthy.
So this is a little update of what is going on in our garden AKA my āAuntās Gardenā.
Over to you my fellow gardeners: Whatās been happening in your garden? Iāll love to read your garden stories in the comments.

Above all, I always appreciate your hard work for the creation of nature and environment. Especially, it is not very good to hear that such trees die. So, through your hard work and beautiful skills, the trees that you take care of will definitely become worthy of survival.
Beautiful mysterious plants with such natural scenery are the gift of the great creator. Of course, plants are very important in protecting the country and nation through our care.
Also, due to climate change all over the world, we face various disasters in our world. Which leads us to various losses every year. So this initiative of yours to take care of trees and take care of trees is really a great work.
@ibbtammy I always appreciate your hard work my pleasure.
I really love such concern. I have a tree garden. Which I try to take care of every time I go home.
Best regards @mdakash62
Wow! As a farmer I can relate so much in your story, especially the hard work of weeding! I have also plant cassava and corn. Now, reading your post I'm planning also to plant yam. Your Aunt is very good gardener and it's great that you are helping her now. keep going, and soon you will enjoy your harvest.
Well done friend and keep up the good work. It's not easy to be a farmer and best of luck with your yamš„°
