The greatest joy for us farmers ; To harvest, share, and sell our crops, for the family ❤️

The bananas we have been carefully tending to were harvested today. It's a big blessing for us as farmers to be able to harvest, taste, and sell or share with the community the fruits of our labor😊.
Hello everyone to my fellow Hivers, friends, and followers especially to the active members of @hivegarden Community it's me again @clarabels and for todays blog, I am excited to share with you all about what we harvest in our lola milagring's farm🙂

This morning, While we have a short stay on my aunt's place, my mom and I travel to my lola milagring's little farm to help her harvest the banana. After we finished harvesting, Grandma divided the harvested bananas, she gave shares to my uncle, my aunt, my mom, and me for my own family. At first, I wasn't going to accept it, but my grandmother insisted on giving me some since my toddler also likes eating bananas, especially boiled ones.

Afterwards, I took a picture because these are the only banana plants left standing on my grandmother's small farm. it also brings her great joy that some of the banana plants are ready for harvest again next week.

I took a photo of my grandmother, and it warms my heart to see her so happy and excited to harvest her crops next week especially the bananas. I am truly happy and proud to be the grandchild and child of a farmer. thanks to this, we always had enough healthy foods to eat, and I was able to achieve my dream of becoming a teacher.

So, these are the excess bananas we harvested, Grandma sold some of them because there was still a large stock of bananas left😊.

My mom also helped weigh the bananas that our neighbor was selling, and the bananas that weren't sold to the neighbors were displayed in our small shop so other customers could buy them🙂

It feels truly rewarding to harvest the fruits of our hard work in farming. Not only does it provide for our family, but it also allows us to help neighbors in need, while simultaneously generating a small income to support our children who are still in school.

This type of banana is delicious when fried, especially made into maruya served with melted sugar in Cebuano language we called it "latik". In fact, this is what my auntie usually makes to earn a living❤️.

This type of banana is what we called "lakatan" it is delicious when mixed into a fruit salad especially when combined with watermelon, apples, and condensed milk. it’s my husband’s favorite drink hehe 😊.
