How do you like the new look of GTA 6? Extended gameplay video released on YouTube and Netflix.

Rockstar hat über 12 Jahre an dem Nachfolger von GTA 5 gearbeitet und jetzt eine fast 30 minütigen extended Gameplay-Clip auf YouTube und, das ist auch neu, auf Netflix veröffentlicht, um Hype für den Release am 19. November 2026 zu generieren.

Habe den Clip nur überflogen, um nicht gespoilert zu werden, aber ein paar Dinge sind mir aufgefallen.

Zunächst zur Grafik. Alles sieht jetzt noch detaillierter und fotorealistischer aus, anscheinend sogar ohne DLSS5 KI-Filter.

Wir nähern uns hier aber langsam dem Uncanny-Valley-Territorium. Bin mir noch nicht sicher, ob mir diese neue Ästhetik gefällt, oder ob nicht eine leichte Stilisierung so wie zum Beispiel in Cyberpunk 2077 besser wäre. Vor allem die Farbfilterung gefällt mir auf den ersten Blick nicht so gut. Sieht irgendwie zu realistisch wie eine Smartphone-Aufnahme aus. Alles sehr dunkel, aber das könnte auch dem Trailer geschuldet sein.

In den Ultra-Settings und Raytracing wird das Game sicher eine enorme GPU-Rechenleistung benötigen, läuft aber mit Abstrichen auch auf der alten Konsole-Generation (Xbox Series X und PS5) mit 30 FPS. Bin daher optimistisch, dass das Spiel zum Beispiel auch auf meiner RTX 3060 relativ gut in 1080p laufen könnte.

Das Problem ist, dass neuere GPUs wegen dem KI-Boom unleistbar geworden sind. PC Gaming ist zu einem Luxus geworden. Gebrauchte, mehrere Jahre alte GPUs werden zu absurden Preisen auf ebay angeboten. Dazu noch RAMmageddon.

Die Frage ist, ob die Gamer überhaupt die Hardware haben werden, um GTA 6 richtig zocken zu können.

Was mir noch aufgefallen ist, das erste Mal in der GTA-Serie wird man auch einen weiblichen Character spielen können, Lucia die Freundin des Protogonisten Jason Duval.

Manche befürchten, dass GTA zu einer Girlfriend Simulation werden könnte und befürchten neue Ausmaße an Wokeness im Game. Die alte sarkastische Sozialkritik in den GTA-Spielen könnte zu einer oberflächlichen woken Seifenoper verkommen, so die Befürchtung.

Denke, man muss dem Game aber eine Chance geben, das Gameplay wird sich aber sicherlich nach über einem Jahrzehnt Entwicklungszeit von den alten GTA-Spielen unterscheiden.

Ist auch sicher schwierig, all den Erwartungen und dem sich ständig wandelnden Zeitgeist gerecht zu werden. GTA 6 könnte auch das teuerste Videogame aller Zeiten werden, jetzt haltet euch fest, Schätzungen gehen von Entwicklungskosten von 1-3 Milliarden USD aus. Das ist heftig.

Rockstar has been working on the sequel to GTA 5 for over 12 years and has now released a nearly 30-minute extended gameplay clip on YouTube and, this is also new, on Netflix to build hype for the November 19, 2026, release.

I only skimmed through the clip to avoid spoilers, but a few things caught my eye.

First, the graphics. Everything looks even more detailed and photorealistic now, apparently even without the DLSS 5 AI filter.

But we’re slowly approaching uncanny valley territory here. I’m not sure yet if I like this new aesthetic, or if a slight stylization, like in Cyberpunk 2077, for example, wouldn’t be better. Above all, I’m not too fond of the color filtering at first glance. It looks a bit too realistic, like a smartphone shot. Everything is very dark, but that could also be due to the trailer.

With ultra settings and ray tracing enabled, the game will certainly require enormous GPU processing power, but it also runs at 30 FPS, albeit with some compromises, on the older generation of consoles (Xbox Series X and PS5). So I’m optimistic that the game could run relatively well in 1080p on my RTX 3060, for example.

The problem is that newer GPUs have become unaffordable due to the AI boom. PC gaming has become a luxury. Used GPUs that are several years old are being offered on eBay at absurd prices. On top of that, there’s RAMmageddon.

The question is whether gamers will even have the hardware to play GTA 6 properly.

Another thing I noticed is that, for the first time in the GTA series, you’ll also be able to play as a female character: Lucia, the girlfriend of the protagonist Jason Duval.

Some fear that GTA could turn into a girlfriend simulation and are worried about new levels of wokeness in the game. The fear is that the old sarcastic social commentary in the GTA games could degenerate into a superficial, “woke” soap opera.

I think we have to give the game a chance, though, after more than a decade of development, the gameplay will certainly differ from the older GTA games.

It’s also certainly difficult to live up to all the expectations and the ever-changing zeitgeist. GTA 6 could also become the most expensive video game of all time, brace yourselves, with estimates putting development costs at 1–3 billion USD. That’s insane.
