Hi guys,
Welcome to my blog for an entry into the splinterlands engagement challenge. This week we have an exciting topic and well what can I say, it has taught me something new, something which I never thought was possible on spl until today.
So with the new cards that are available in the shop I never knew that one cab try them out in battle but only in challenge mode. So with the challenge mode what happens is that you’ll send a challenge to a friend of yours which you know his username, when the challenge is sent your friend has 9 minutes to respond to the challenge or it is cancelled.
Now you can use these cards and many more when you select ghost cards in the cards selection before you send the battle to your friend.
For this engagement challenge it’s rather unfortunate that I couldn’t follow through on my promise and buy a card from the shop so I had to refer to the challenge side to test out the cards. I sent a challenge to goldencrow and this was how it went.
I decided to use max cards and summoners for this cause why not? My summoner of choice was influenced by the selection of night stalker as my first card. With its much melee attack I thought of getting in a card which has good melee to further boost its speed.
The rules of the game were blast, little league where we are only allowed to use summoner and cards that cost 4 mana or less and then earthquake.
My first card as I said was night stalker. A melee card with sneak, execute and blast abilities. The execute ability which might be new to some people make another round of attack if the target has 2 or less health after a successful attack.
Next was unhealthy elder a magic card, best was grumpy dwarf another melee card, next in like was dwarven wizard, next was goblin firemage, and the last was doctor blight which i enter so much but I don’t have it in my collection just yet.
I think this battle was an easy battle for my opponent as he used me to my surprise. My opponent decided to reply speed instead of going for a lot of damage. The blast and earthquake Rulesets also played a big role in helping him win as well.
Round 1 was easy for him as he just breezed though my night stalker. In this round he killed 2 of my cards and I also killed one of his.
With the earthquake in play I had lost one last card and so I knew I was gonna loose. With a few more attacks I was done for it and it didn’t look like a rough battle for opponent as all.
