A solid foundation with targeted adjustments [EN/PT]

I’ve been talking about two things in some previous posts. The first, and most important, is finding an effective balance between offense, defense, and support. The second is about establishing a strategic foundation and making only a few adjustments as needed. Well, this has been working well ever since I let go of a good portion of my cards—something I’ve explained before and won’t repeat here.

It turns out that when we have fewer options to choose from when formulating our strategy, in addition to putting more creativity into our setups, we also need to find other ways to win, to be competitive. And for me, there’s nothing better than mastering a formation, a foundation, and making those adjustments truly effective.

Well, the first thing I did was find an element that could provide me with both of these things: the foundation I need and, at the same time, that balance. The strategy is almost always the same. A powerful tank, but one focused on attack—Iziar—a second tank in the back row, drawing in attacks, and the rest is always adjusted according to the rhythm of the music. This has helped me a lot.

Is it always possible to do this? No. But whenever the Life element is available and mana is above 35, I can make this strategy work, and I rarely lose.

Why does this work so well? Because I know my team inside out. I know the weaknesses to protect, if necessary, and I know how to exploit the strengths and maximize them. When you know exactly what you’re doing, things work much better. And mind you, I’m working with this team in a limited way, because when I had other monsters and summoners at my disposal, I reached high leagues very easily.

Of course, you can’t always use this strategy, which is a shame. But I have other strategies for every situation, depending on the amount of mana or the battle rules. Little by little, I’m refining my playstyle, understanding that the dynamics of Splinterlands change from battle to battle.

Well, today I brought a bit of that battle, which in my opinion was perfect. I had exactly the resources I needed to win, and even a bonus to exploit. Stay tuned!

A few points about the battle:

As I mentioned, the conditions for this battle were perfect because I had plenty of mana available—61—and an excellent battle rule for exploiting offensive strength and the available Life element, where my strategy is generally quite strong.

My opponent made a good choice, adding a tank that’s very sturdy, has a good amount of health, and even adds shields to everyone on his team—a tank I’ve been facing fairly often lately.

I choose what I consider one of the deadliest tanks in Splinterlands. Not only does he have very high attack, but when he takes damage, his base attack increases; he has a great amount of health, and when attacked by a melee monster, he has a chance to strike back. This monster fits perfectly with Iziar in the back row, as he can easily handle any opposing tank.

In the back row, in the center, Iziar draws all the attacks, and when his defensive role is over and he is defeated, he will leave the monsters in the adjacent slots stronger. I still aim for more offensive power in my back row; since the summoner gives me more shields, I’ve placed more offensive monsters there—an interesting way to balance attack and defense. Maybe we have more attack here, but that doesn’t matter.

Could I have explored the choice of melee monsters a little more? Yes, I could have. But I usually try not to be too predictable in my choices, since my opponent could put out several demoralize monsters and thus weaken my monsters. That wasn’t the case, but you never know.

This battle was very interesting to watch, as it perfectly exemplifies my strategy: a very solid defense that, in certain situations, can be reinforced with additional support. It has very strong offensive power.

Olá Splinters, bem vindos de volta!

Eu já venho falando em alguns posts anteriores sobre duas coisas. A primeira, e mais importante, é buscar um equilíbrio eficiente entre força ofensiva, defesa e suporte. A segunda é sobre como encontrar uma base de estratégia e fazer apenas alguns ajustes conforme a necessidade. Bem, isso tem funcionado bem desde que abri mão de boa parte das minhas cartas, algo que já expliquei em outras oportunidades e não vou repetir.

Acontece que, quando temos menos opções de escolha para formular nossa estratégia, além de colocarmos mais criatividade nas nossas formulações, também precisamos encontrar outros meios de vencer, de ser competitivo. E para mim, nada melhor do que dominar uma formação, uma base, e fazer com que esses ajustes sejam realmente eficientes.

Bem, a primeira coisa que fiz foi encontrar um elemento que pudesse me fornecer essas duas coisas: a base que preciso e, ao mesmo tempo, esse equilíbrio. A estratégia é quase sempre a mesma. Um tank poderoso, mas focado em ataque, Iziar, um segundo tank na linha de trás, atraindo os ataques, e o restante é sempre ajustado conforme o ritmo da música. Isso tem me ajudado bastante.

É sempre possível fazer isso? Não. Mas sempre que o elemento Life está disponível e a quantidade de mana é maior que 35, eu consigo fazer essa estratégia funcionar, e raramente eu perco.

Por que isso funciona tão bem? Porque eu conheço exatamente o meu time. Sei os pontos fracos para proteger, se necessário, e sei explorar os pontos fortes e potencializá-los. Quando você sabe exatamente o que está fazendo, as coisas funcionam muito melhor. E veja bem, eu estou trabalhando com esse time de forma limitada, pois quando eu tinha outros monstros e summoners à disposição, eu chegava em ligas altas com muita facilidade.

Claro, não dá para utilizar sempre essa estratégia, o que é uma pena. Mas eu tenho outras estratégias para cada situação, dependendo da quantidade de mana ou das regras de batalha. Aos poucos, vou consolidando maneiras de jogar, entendendo que a dinâmica de Splinterlands muda de batalha para batalha.

Bem, hoje eu trouxe um pouco dessa batalha, que na minha opinião foi perfeita. Eu tinha exatamente os recursos que precisava para vencer, e inclusive um bônus para explorar. Continue acompanhando!

Como mencionei, as condições para essa batalha estavam perfeitas pois eu tinha muita mana disponível, 61, uma regra de batalha excelente para explorar a força ofensiva e o elemento Life disponível, onde minha estratégia geralmente é bem forte.

Meu adversário fez uma boa escolha, adicionou um tank que é bem robusto, possui boa quantidade de vida e ainda adiciona escudos a todos do seu time, um tank que tenho enfrentado com certa frequência ultimamente.

Eu escolho o que é para mim, um dos tanks mais mortais de Splinterlands. Ele não apenas possui um ataque muito alto, como também quando sofre dano, aumenta esse ataque original, possui uma ótima quantidade de vida e quando é atacado por um monstro melee, tem chance de revidar. Esse monstro encaixa perfeitamente com Iziar na linha de trás pois facilmente consegue lidar com qualquer tank adversário.

Na linha de trás, no centro, Iziar atraindo todos os ataques e quando sua função defensiva terminar e ele for derrotado, deixará os monstros na adjacência mais fortes. Eu ainda exploro na minha linha de trás um poder mais ofensivo, visto que o summoner me adiciona mais escudos, coloquei mais monstros ofensivos, uma maneira interessante de ter ataque e defesa bem nivelados, talvez temos mais ataque aqui, mas isso não importa.

Eu poderia ter explorado um pouco mais a escolha de monstros melee? Sim, poderia. Mas eu normalmente tento não ser tão previsível nas minhas escolhas, pois o meu adversário poderia colocar vários monstros desmoralize e assim enfraquecer meus monstros. Não foi o caso, mas nunca se sabe.

Essa batalha foi muito interessante de se ver, pois ela é exatamente o que minha estratégia representa com um defesa muito bem consolidada e que em alguns caos podem ser implementadas com mias suporte. Tem uma força ofensiva muito boa.
