Hello! I've been showcasing game after game here. Showcasing might be a big word considering I'm really just rambling about what I think about a game that isn't even necessarily playable just yet. This post will be exactly the same way, as I want to talk about one of the upcoming additions to HIVE when it comes to gaming - Bang! Defense.

I am excited about it for many reasons - it is from the creators of Hashkings, it is the first tower defense game in the HIVE ecosystem and well.. It is another project I get to ape in on early and see what happens. That always somehow gets me hyped, even if I don't necessarily think about a potential return on investment. Instead, I just like to see if what I ended up believing in makes it!

What Is Bang! Defense?

Bang! Defense is an upcoming tower defence game, which is built by the creators of Hashkings. It is actually quite easy to follow its development, as there is a whole development blog that you can check out for updates, while Hashkings official profile also releases all the crucial information whenever it comes up. If you are interested in the very details, I suggest you go check the posts about the game from the Hashkings profile, as well as the litepaper.

The game is played using various NFTs, which can alter your experience heavily - you have towers, but also skins for pretty much every part of the game - there are ways to change the background, the soundtrack, the skins of your enemies, your towers as well as your guns!

In addition to your usual tower defense gameplay, there will also be PvP gameplay. This is the part that I am the most excited about, as it will supposedly be possible to spawn enemies for your opponent and making the game harder for them in general. Tower defense games tend to be great to chill and pass the time, and PvP should add an additional layer of fun to the game.

As for the play to earn rewards, they will be different between PvE and PvP. Based on various factors (we do not know those just yet), in PvE, the player will receive a certain amount of BUDS (native Hashkings token) and AMMO (native BANG! token). For PvP, the entry will be paid for with AMMO and the loser walks away with nothing. The winner will receive various rewards, potentially including AMMO and various NFTs.

My personal opinion on this is that I am excited to see where it goes. I spent way too many classes at high school playing various TD games and I'd love to see what the final look of BANG! Defense will be. PvP is what hypes me up the most, but I am also curious to see how the tokenomics are going to be implemented.

The Presale

On April 1st, the presale for BANG! defense is supposed to happen. It will be made through the official website of the game and there are a total of four tiers that you can buy in order to take part. What I like a lot about it is the great range of prices. They range from just $4.50 (supply of 7800), which means even users with barely any funds can join in on the fun, all the way to $125, of which there will only be 120. The packages all give a lot of keys at a large discount (meaning you can easily resell what you got!), corresponding crates, as well as unique Blasters which get you keys on a monthly basis - the Blasters' potency depends on the tier you buy in at.

The Hashkings team gave a pretty good example of how great their presale value is. The most recent Hashkings presale was a while ago, but its contents have more than 10x'd compared to their presale price - and at an ATH, they were more than 20x what you paid for them in the presale. This really shows that they are able to deliver real value - I am willing to trust them on that!

One more thing that I haven't mentioned yet is that each of the presale packs will come with a special avatar that can be used all across the Hashkings ecosystem. It will be a completely unique Hashkings x BANG! avatar that cannot be obtained through any other means - I personally wonder if it will be one single avatar, or if its rarity will correspond to the box you buy.

Another great part of this presale is that it accepts a fairly large amount of tokens! Not only is there HBD and HIVE that you can use. There is also a possibility of using BUDS, the Hashkings token. On top of that, the two main Splinterlands token so DEC and SPS are allowed, as well as two of the most prominent community coins - PIZZA and ONEUP.

My Plan

This one will be pretty short as how long can I ramble about plans? Well, I definitely want to consider buying in. It isn't a 100% move yet, because honestly - things change in the crypto world on an hour-by-hour basis, really.

If I do buy in, I will never go lower than Epic. Both the Epic and Legendary bundles seem to have great value, being able to save up to 50% on crates themselves and getting powerful Blasters meaning some extra passive income on the side. The real question is - what do I pay with? I have a fair bit of HIVE, but it would also give use to my rather large stash of ONEUP! I am a little torn between these two and will likely decide based on the price on the day.

Closing Words

I am excited that there is yet another game coming on HIVE and want to see how it turns out in the end. With so many new projects on HIVE, the blockchain will hopefully be a little better and a little more known with every release, leading to big growth!
