Terracore: Quick Tips & Tricks from a One-Week Player

Hello everyone!

I've been playing TERRACORE for the last week, and I have some nice, quick tips to give to you that I wanted to know since day 0!

1) Playing on Mobile

The game itself is built on the Unity Engine and, as such, it can't be played on a mobile phone. I know there are some wonky apps that allows you to open Unity games on Android (and I suppose there are ways to do the same on iPhones), but you can't use those tools together with HiveKeychain in order to actually login into the game.

Nonetheless, you can do the basic actions of the game (like claiming rewards and attacking players) through third-party apps like Hivegadgets and TerracoreHub, meaning that you can claim your rewards while on bed or attack other players while you're at the office :D

2) Using Third-Party Apps to Find the Best Targets

Even if you're playing on a Desktop, you should be attacking players through one of those third-apps. They allow you to find the best targets in order to maximize your profits.

For example, right now there's a single target that I can attack and plunder up to 2.852 SCRAP, while the 2nd best option only gives me up to 2.162, about 25% less. No good.

Stick to the third-party apps to do your attacks!

3) Attacking is safer than Mining and Defending

This one is kinda counter-intuitive, as usually on games attacking is more risky than defending.

But on Terracore, it's exactly the opposite. If you level up your Engineering (in order to increase your Mine Rate) and your Defense stats, all you'll achieve is becoming a juicier target for big, rich players. Unless you're willing to dump thousands of SCRAP into your Defense, there will always be stronger players with more Attack than your Defense that will be able to attack you and steal your Stash.

In the other hand, if you level up your Attack, you can find juicier targets (as you can overcome higher defenses), but you can also accumulate Attack Charges (up to 8) and use all those attack charges at once, immediately claiming your Stash after the attacks and being 100% safe from any incoming attacks.

I've stopped investing on Defense at all, and I'm going all-in on Attack.

4) Find out if YOU are a Juicy Target!

No one wants to be that juicy target with a Stash full of SCRAP that will attract attacks from cold-hearted raiders, am I right?

There's a nice trick that allows you to find out if you're the noob with a fat wallet.

Right now, @yuexn is the player with highest Attack. So let's put his username into the HiveGadgets' tool and see the list of players that he can attack (eg everyone in the game):

I currently have 80 Defense, so let's find on the player list the player with highest Stash AND a defense that's equal or lower than mine. In this case, it'll be player @now1: he's the player with highest Stash (2.458) with a lower defense than me (50).

So, right now, he'll be attacked before me. I'm still not the best target on my Defense range, so I'm safe: I can keep accumulating Stash without having to spend a Claim.
